Nova ScotiaBeautiful, serene, relaxing
Left on 06/30/2012 for a stay in June 2012
We were a group of five adults and stayed for one week. It was a gorgeous location, right on the water, secluded with breathtaking views. The cottage is beautiful, with all of the amenities you'd need (dishwasher, washer/dryer, barbecue, fully equipped kitchen, fireplace, comfy furniture). The private dock was lovely, as was the canoe. We enjoyed the sunsets and watching the water tides change. The screened in porch area was a nice surprise. There was plenty of parking for our four cars. We swam, canoed, sat outdoors, did lots of reading and slept very well. It's quiet, serene and relaxing. The only drawbacks I can think of: it didn't have a bathtub, only stand-up shower stalls and it didn't have any internet connection (which was kind of nice, but a couple of times it would have come in handy). We also have two dogs and would have loved if they could have stayed with us- but they have a no pets policy for this spot. It's too bad. There were lots of mosquitoes at night- so be sure to bring bug spray if you are going. The drive to the cottage, once you turn off of Port Medway road was a little bumpy, it's about 4km on a windy dirt road. Overall, a big thumb's up. Highly recommend.
