Enjoy a wonderful view of Matagorda Bay from the covered deck! Very comfortable. Short walk to the beach. Nice paved covered Patio Area for entertaining or BBQ.

We were 5 people::Grandmother, Grandfather, mother, daughter 4 years and boy 17 months, and it was plenty of space for all of us.The fact that we could close the door on top of the stairs lifted a large burden, since the baby's very active, so recommended for families with small children. The view of the ocean, perfect!!
Very close to the Beach, but swim shoes are needed since there is some small rocks, that hurt to step on.
The local Store was plentyful, so you don't have to fill up your coolers before arriving. The fishrestaurant, living close to Kemah in Houston, we know Good seafood, and this was not it. But we bought the very best Breakfast Tacos at a mom&pop; place.
So, needless to say, we all had a lovely time, and will be back at the Pope House. -

I stayed for quite awhile at the Pope House, and found it to be a relaxing, well furnished home with everything I needed for my stay. The view of the bay was fantatic, being less than 100 yards off the front deck of the house.
The owner maintains the property very well, and the management from Tigrett's crew made things go smooth the entire stay!
