A well equipped, outstandingly situated cottage that is obviously very loved by its owners, and therefore makes an excellent retreat for holiday makers such as ourselves I could go on but words can not explane the beauty of this cottage and thus the only way to experience it would be to vist.
A special week's stay!

My son and I had a very special week's stay in this very comfortable and homely cottage. We found everything had been provided right down to the last detail. The cottage itself is situated in the middle of the forest and two minutes walk from Loch Venachar so we weren't hard pressed to find walks for our two collie dogs, who also enjoyed running round the large garden. Callander, a lovely town, is a short drive away. In all we were made to feel very welcome, made to feel that we could make ourselves at home and I would love to return. In fact, we couldn't find fault with anything.

The cottage was superb -- cosy with the log fire etc, but with all mod cons -- modern bathrooms etc. The service was impeccable. The owner was there to greet us and explain everything, but then left us alone to enjoy the peace and quiet. She even supplied bread, milk, butter, tea etc and even whisky! The surrounding area was very scenic and great for walks, but not too isolated. We found a great pub nearbye to celebrate 'hogmanay'. Apart from the superb facilities and the sense of relaxation one of the best things was that the 3 dogs were made very welcome -- with their own towels in the bathroom. We will definitely go back (perhaps when the weather is warmer!) and have already recommended the cottage to loads of friends.
