Description

The French Girl’s Lair (Pet Friendly)

The Lair is one of our pet friendly accommodation in Port Renfrew and can accommodate two comfortably or a family of four. It is a modern cottage newly built in 2011, including propane cooking stove and propane fireplace. It is furnish with a fully equipped kitchen, queen size bed in a separate bedroom and double hide-a-bed in living area. T.V with DVD movies, blue-ray player, Netflix and WiFi are provided.

Outside you will find a large front deck with a built in fire pit, an outdoor propane heater, BBQ and lots of lounge chairs make this place ideal for entertainment. Plenty firewood is stock at the back of the cottage for the fire pit and (free of charge).

The Lair also has a long driveway almost 50ft long so can easily accommodate a boat or any other long vehicles. In December of 2012 The French Girl's Lair became even cozier when we installed a gas fireplace in the family room.

Exceptional Pacific Northwest Rainforest natural experience, hiking, beach combing, surfing nearby, storm watching at Botanical Beach, world class salmon and halibut fishing in season (may-Oct), abundant wildlife and the magnificent forest of Avatar Grove; a photographer's dream.

Five minutes of walking from the cottages will get you to the Pacific Gateway Marina if you’re going fishing or you want to take in the sea air. Tommy's Home Cooking and The Coastal Kitchen Café are a five minute walk away if you get tired of your own cooking. The Renfrew Pub is maybe a 15 minute walk.

You can get a selection of groceries including beer, wine and liquor at the General Store on Parkinson Road (open from 11am-7pm everyday). It’s a good idea though to stock up on groceries on your way to Port Renfrew in Sooke or Cowichan Lake if you are travelling from the other direction. Of course everyone takes credit cards, debit cards and that ancient currency, cash.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

If the property manager agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
