This community, the Barefoot Cottages is a planned coastal village just west of Port St. Joe on Highway 98 bordering WindMark Beach. Enjoy the natural surroundings of the Barefoot Cottages with wooden walk bridges through out the community. Take advantage of the two pools, hot tub and the fitness facility onsite. We had a great experience with this property, except for a couple of things. First, during middle of our one week rental and while we were out fishing a representative came into our unit, removed most of the dishes and left new ones on the dining table for us to wash before using. Second,there was no soap in the master bedroom bath and no detergent for the dishwasher.Otherwise we like the cottages very much and plan to stay there again.

Customer service was great from beginning to end. Cottage B25 was very comfortable, modernly furnished, and fully loaded with all the amenities of home. It is perfectly located directly in front of the pool and hot tub. I loved the fact that grills were provided and conveniently located for guests use. Two complaints: several visible sightings of spider web inside of the home (primarily stairway area); the failure of residents and/or guests to pick up behind their dogs.

Excellent location, everything about the house was great. We had 3 children with us and they enjoyed the pool and the house. I would recommend this rental house and property to anyone. We saved so much money by having a full kitchen to cook meals in and having the washer and dryer too. Hoping to come back in a year or two.

The place and surroundings were great. It was quiet and away from city noise. Did not like the beach in the immediate area so I just drove some miles to the west and had no problems.

Our family enjoyed B25, and were thankful to be so centrally located on the Barefoot property. Access to the pool was wonderful and yet we didn't feel "on top" of it. Our daughter, 2 1/2, loved the visit as well.
The bikes were fun to ride and allowed for exploring. The beaches were a small drive away. We recommened Seahorse excersions, great prices!, and the local food - Toucans - was wonderful!
Piggly Wiggly market is a short drive and offers a great selection of food, including freshly steamed shrimp! Panama City Beach is about a 45 min drive for those that crave shopping. For us, being in Port St Joe away from the hustle and bustle was fantastic. We are already planning our visit for next year. -

This was a great place to spend time with family. We all enjoyed the pool. There isn't a beach that you can walk to that we found. We were able to take our boats to the beach from a marina that was about 10 minutes away. A great place to stay if you just want to hang out at the pool or enjoy fishing, boating and so on. Very clean place. The kitchen could use a few more cooking utensils.

This waas our 3rd year staying in the same cottage and we always call it "our place in Florida". That's just how much it feels like home to us. The only issue this year was that there were far more people staying than the previous years. Which is good for the economy of NW Florida tourism. But, there was the issue with several people not renting or living in the cottages that would come use the pool. One of the residents told us that has been a problem that people from the local town come use the pool because they know there is no real security to keep them out. And a few nights we could hear some loud people out in the pool past midnight. But, only a couple nights out of the two weeks we were there.Also the internet connection is very weak in the cottages so, if you need internet you have to go to the community building by the pool to have good access. Love it there, and we will come back!

Nice and quiet area, rooms very clean. Easy check in and check out. Only drawback was no coffee filters or coffee packs (we left some for the next guest) and not even full roll of toilet paper in bathroom, didn't anticipate furnishing toilet paper! Otherwise, just loved the place and would definately stay there again.

Everything was even nicer than we could have ever dreamed of!!! From the staff to the staying in the cottage - not one single complaint or disappointment. I HIGHLY recommend this cottage to anyone who desires a spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished place to relax and enjoy the wonderful benefits the grounds offer. We came for our son's wedding and it was so refreshing to be able to stay in a place where there was not a single worry. It is truthfully, the place and experience that you always hope for in booking a vacation. My only problem is now, I am so spoiled after staying here, anywhere else we ever book in other cities will surely pale by comparrison. My entire family already is talking about when we can return and we most certainly want to stay in B25 again. If I am EVER in that area of Florida, we would not stay anywhere else!!! Thank you for giving a groom's Mom, one less thing to worry about. :) May God bless and keep all who own it, are employed there and all who stay there, both in the past and future. Thank you again.

We enjoyed our second visit to the cottages. We were there with the parents of the bride & two others couples one year ago to spend the weekend and consider it as a site for the wedding held there.
Both experiences were wonderful.
The cottage was wonderful. The only thing we missed was salt to cook with and coffee filters for the coffe pot.
Perhaps these items might be considered to include in the kitchen. -

We styed in a 3 bedroom 3.5 bath house. It was very spacious and had everything from towel, dishwear, and utensils. The rental price was extremely cheap considering the accomoation. The pool an hot tub were nice.
I woul stay here again. The only few drawbacks: its not right on the beach, you will have to drive to the beach (but there are great beaches nearby) and I could tell the sheets had not been washed, as there was a tiny bit of sand on them. Otherwise,all was well and the place was very homey, clean, and comfortable. -

There was absolutely nothing but good things about the vacation. It was very relaxing and the accomodatons were excellent. Everything we wanted was provided. I would certainly recommend this place to anyone wanting to relax and get away for awhile.

We found this property online and were pleasantly surprised with the affordable weekly rental. After looking at other places in the Gulf area, we felt very lucky to have found Barefoot Cottages.
Port St. Joe is extremely low-key and relaxing. Most of the time we felt like we were the only ones there it was so quiet. Great local stores and restraunts. Also, highly recommend Seahorse Safaris! Capt. Gary was great at giving info on the area and is extremely knowledgeable about sea creatures. Oysters were also outstanding!! We will definately go back!! Soon!!! -

This is my second stay at The Barefoot Cottages. I recently stayed in unit B#25. It is perfectly located alongside the large swimming pool. In addition, this unit contains all household items to make your stay ideal! We have already booked this same unit for our stay next summer!

We really enjoy staying at Barefoot. The only thing I miss is the beach and the designated beach for Barefoot leaves a lot to be desired. But the pool is great, the kids loved it and I love the accomodations and the price is right.

The cottage was very clean and comfortable. The pool was hot but the pool man worked to make it cooler. We rode over to Salinas Park at Cape San Blas where we practically had the beach all to ourselves. Got a great tan and felt well rested by the end of the week.

We rented several of these units for my Son's wedding. We had out of town guest as well as the wedding party staying here. The condo's could not have been any nicer. It was like we had our own private complex. I would recommend this for anyone having a family reunion or wedding in this area. Very clean and user friendly.
