      Great getaway

Left on 04/28/2013 for a stay in April 2013

We have stayed at the resort previously, but this time we booked through a rental agency and it was about half the price advertised on the resort website.
The room was fantastic, kitchen and lounge downstairs with balcony and swim out; bed and bathroom upstairs with additional balcony. Cot for our infant daughter was provided free of charge and setup before we arrived. The pool is gorgeous. Had breakfast buffet at the restaurant but wasn't overly impressed- expensive for what was on offer.
Great location however Salamander Bay is out of the main part of Nelson Bay so not walking distance to cafes and marina. But it is very close to the shopping centre.

      Fantastic stay!

Left on 11/01/2012 for a stay in September 2012

I can't recommend this enough! It's very clean and tidy. You can literally jump right in the pool from your balcony! Am absolutely in love with this place. I would definitely come back again. The only thing is that I don't find the receptionist very helpful. Would have been even better if they are more proactive in helping their guests.
There is nothing much in salamander bay itself but it is sandwiched between anna bay and nelson bay. Just a short ride to either of these destinations where there are more activities.

Well appointed and well presented apartment for two, in a resort

Left on 10/18/2012 for a stay in August 2012

The onsite manager met us at the apartment to show us where everything was.
The apartment was a comfortable size for two. The king size bed was perfect. We used the well equipped kitchen quite a bit so we wouldn't have to eat out every day. The whole apartment was neat and clean with an attractive outlook over the pool. We wouldn't hesitate to come back.
The resort has a small gym with good quality equipment which we made use of. We didn't try the restaurant and it was too cool for swimming.
The location is pretty central and there is a big shopping centre close by.
This was our first visit to Port Stephens where there is plenty to do. The walk to the top of the Tomaree Headland at Shoal Bay is a must. We'd also recommend the Nelson Bay golf course, with kangaroos a plenty.

      Great

Left on 03/13/2012 for a stay in February 2012

The door needs attention(front) very stiff I was unable to open it without my husband. The verandah needs a shade of some sort. Other than that it was perfect.

      Cheers,
      Fran

      Relaxing holiday resort style

Left on 03/13/2012 for a stay in February 2012

Very good meet and greet service. Resort's facilities were excellent. Tennis courts are of high standards and gymnasium was very well equipped. Lagoon pool provided a water view from swim out and was fabulous. Resort has cafe and restaurant. No need to leave as resort as everything. Walking distance to shopping centre. Apartment itself was fabulous. Bed slightly on the hard side, and limited kitchen equipment. Will definitely stay at the resort again.

      Very relaxing holiday

Left on 12/15/2011 for a stay in November 2011

We found the apartment very comfortable for the two of us. The kitchen was a little small, not that we spent much time in it. The bed was absolutely comfortable which was a real bonus. The amenities around the resort as in the pool, gym, sauna, spas were fantastic. We didn't get to use the tennis court. All the staff were very friendly. The shopping centre is within walking distance which we found very handy. We hope to go back there again next year.

Went with the intention of having a relaxing holiday, and managed to achieve that. Spent a lot of time in the pool. Restaurant at the resort serves great meals. Apartment was comfortable and had all the necessary amenities.

My Stay at Pacific Blue 140

Left on 10/27/2011 for a stay in September 2011

Pacific Blue is a lovely 'loft style' apartment which caters for a couple. Direct access to the pool is great.
The only downside was the bed was two singles put together and you could feel the gap between the beds... Might be better to invest in "queen" bed. Some more linen (towels) could also be included.

Split level give both experiences, pool level and elevation as well as separating the activities.
Cleaning leaves a bit to be desired, quite typical in this sort of accomodation.
