The Meadow House is a lovingly renovated 1920s farmhouse just 5 miles outside of Port Townsend, WA. The 2-bedroom/1 bath house is a serene retreat with bucolic views of a pasture, cows, natural pond, classic red barn, and cherry, fir, and maple trees. This birdwatchers paradise features an open floor plan with central kitchen, dining area, living room and woodstove corner with rocker. Meadow House is across the street from the main property of Chevy Chase Beach Cabins and shares access to the private beach on Discovery Bay, seasonal pool, tennis and lawn games, and extensive gardens.

The Meadow House sits on a quiet pond across the street from Discovery Bay, five miles from the Victorian seaport community of Port Townsend. It is the perfect launching point for exploring the Olympic Peninsula; visiting sites such as Hurricane Ridge (mountain vistas and hiking!), Dungeness Spit (beach combing and bird watching!), Sequim (excellent golf and the lavendar festival!), the Hood Canal (oysters and the Olympic Music Festival!), along with wineries, farms, fishing adventures, whale-watching opportunities and more.
Just 10 minutes outside of Port Townsend, the Meadow House offers the peace and quiet of a country retreat with easy access to all the shopping, galleries, farmers markets, restaurants, and historic attractions of our sweet little town.

We just returned from four incredible nights with pals in the Meadow House - part of Chevy Chase Beach Cabins. The house had everything we needed -- a fully stocked kitchen (better than mine at home), comfy beds and ample towels, wireless internet and cable tv, even a washer and dryer from when we all came back soaked from the beach! Since it was "Spring" in the PNW, we got a little bit of every kind of weather, which allowed us to sit in the sunshine on our deck and gaze at the peaceful views, as well as build a fire in our woodstove (they even provide all the wood!) when the wind and rain came. The biggest bonus was that we were able to travel with our two small dogs, who were in total heaven. They could run their little legs off on the big sandy beach (where we never spied another person) and swim in the shallow bay. We had fun exploring Port Townsend as well, but really just wanted to stay put in our sweet cottage for the long weekend. The other cabins, across the street (I think there are six) also looked adorable. Might be fun to check those out next time. We will be back!
