Four of us have just returned from Vanautu after 12 days at angel's Beach House. Angel's is situated in a picture perfect location with lovely surrounds and right on the beach with great snorkling just off shore.
If like us ,you choose not to hire a car but use local buses and taxis there are two good restaurants within walking distance.Just remember to take a torch as roads in Vanautu are very dark.
Buses don't run frequently on Devils Point Road so you'll need to walk 1km down to Benjour Resort to catch the Mele Bay Express or talk to Noleen and Leroy the two local folk who live on the property , they'll get bus from Mele Village to pick you up .Noleen and Leroy only started work at angels the day before we arrived but they went out of their way to help us and then invited us to share a local meal with them. Like most locals in Vanautu they have so little but were prepared to share what little they have.
The house is ideal for two couples as each room has an ensuite ,though for some reason the shower in ours managed to flood the whole bathroom each time we used it.. Electricity was another interesting experience, more than two appliances plugged at once tended to throw the overload but we quickly became adapt at sorting this problem out.
If you're looking for luxury forget this house but if you want a true island experience, wish to meet the lovely local folk , enjoy snorkling and the relaxed island life this is the place for you.. -

Hi Tim,
had a good time except for the weather. Rained a lot with very strong winds (not much boating or fishing). the reef at angels is incredible. Crystal clear & warm water. Beautiful on the little coral island, so private.
the house & gardens are lovely. What can I say about Eddie, Betina & little Paul. We were initiated into their family. They couldn't do enough for us, we were looked after like royalty. I hope you realise how lucky you are to have them look after your home & clients. They are the most beautiful family. They made our holiday so much more enjoyable, filled with happiness. On our last day they cooked us a traditional meal for lunch & dinner. These people have nothing, but they did this for us. Incredible.. The only flaw with the home is there is no tv antenna. when the weather is bad, like we had, the videos run out pretty quick, then it got boring. Kind Regards vicki & brian

We had a fantastic holidays at the angels Beach House. Love the peace and quiet and have to say fantastic snorkling spot being on the reef. Hope we can go back there soon.
