Additional notes from owner
When you book the house you get the entire property to yourself whether you book one, two or three bedrooms. The house doesn't operate like a B&B; where multiple parties can stay there at the same time.
You get the whole place to yourself but you only get access to the number of bedrooms you have booked.
This house has a strict 'no more than 6 guests at a time' policy and the minimum booking is for 4 nights.
If you have very small children e.g. under 1 year then there is a possibility that they can stay. The house has high standard fittings and to maintain the level of quality children are excluded.
Where people stay for longer periods I am happy to negotiate a better rate.
Please Note: This is a house rental only.Daily room servicing is not included in the tariff but could be arranged if required.

When you arrive at Bukurabeachhouse you will be greeted by the caretaker Obed and his wife Eki,a lovely couple who are willing to help you with any questions about the property. The landscaped tropical gardens are beautifully set out and there is plenty of seating around the gardens to sit back relax read a book, have a glass of wine or just take in the amazing views across to Port Vila. I found the house to offer everything you need while staying there.A very well equipped kitchen,a supply of dvds and cds on offer and the most comfortable bed and pillows. An added feature is the rock pool with tropical fish living there,so take your goggles and snorkel to make the most of the pool and the lovely warm water.Remember to take note of the owners information about purchasing your food and groceries because the house is a distance from any shops.Ask the caretaker to arrange transport to take you to the many places of interest eg the Summit gardens,Hideaway Island,The Secret Gardens all not that far from the house. The local drivers are very obliging and friendly.Overall your stay at Bukurabeachhouse is a great experience. My husband and I enjoyed the most relaxing holiday yet.

Left on 04/10/2013 for a stay in March 2013
This was my first trip to Vanuatu so I had no idea what to expect other than recommendations from friends who had stayed at Bakura. This holiday was the most peaceful and relaxing one I have ever had. The Beach house looks out over a sparkling blue ocean where we swam several times a day either in the coral pool or in the ocean when the tide was in. It is an ever-changing landscape as the crystal blue water reflects the sky and this is at night also. We were lucky to have a large orange moon over Easter which cast a glittering pathway across the water. One morning we were alerted by Ubud that a pod of dolphins were passing . I managed to read four novels in the ten days I stayed and though we spent one interesting day in Port Villa fossicking in the markets and lunching at the superb French restaurant in the main street, plus a visit to the magnificent waterfall close by, it was the peace and serenity of the place that won my heart.

Swim like a fish

Left on 04/07/2013 for a stay in April 2013
Never before have I spent so much time swimming on a holiday as I did
at bukurabeachhouse. I had about 3 swims every day I stayed there. I
much preferred the ocean pool to an in-ground pool as the water was so clear and the temperature lovely - I stayed in for 3 hours one day.
The little fish in various corners make it even more interesting. Lying back in the pool and looking at the house makes you realise what a great location the house is in without the usual crowds you get at resorts. I found lots of places to sit and relax ? either with my friends or without. The house was beautiful ? very simple but stylish and I loved the fact that the kitchen was modern and well equipped and the BBQ had a stunning view across the water. It was my first trip to the South Pacific and the house was just what I imagined as something designed for the tropics.
The gardens were well kept and tidy and I loved the large steps that
go down to the lawn area. Also loved the banana trees ? neat the
carport!
We saw dolphins three times swimming past the house which was pretty
special as was exploring the rock pools. The caretakers Obed and Eki
were lovely and I appreciated the fact that they just seemed to be
around when you needed them but kept to themselves otherwise.
We had a local driver take us into town and back for dinner which meant we could all have a great night out without having to worry about driving!
Overall I was very impressed with the entire property and would highly recommend it to others. Thanks Robin for having my friends and I for a great holiday. I will be back to that ocean pool! -

This was my fourth stay at bukurabeachhouse and it was once again just what I remembered from the last few times. The house looks the same as when I first went 6 years ago and congratulations should go to Robin, Obed and Eki for maintaining it to such a high standard in tropical conditions. The ocean pool is a good size and we all spent considerable time snorkelling, swimming and just enjoying the marvellous weather we had for a week. The banana lounges and outdoor chairs placed around the grounds are great too. We loved walking through the rock pools discovering shells and beautiful coral at low tide, and the gardens are beautiful and well cared for. The way the house is designed you see the garden and the sea from everywhere which makes it very relaxing. We loved barbecuing with a view every night! The Mele Cascade waterfall and the Tuesday Pizza and Movie night at the Beach Bar were great too, and close by. Although I have been to bukurabeachhouse a few times I still appreciate the up to date information that Robin provides to you before you come - really makes it all that much better. I will definitely be back. :) Lukim yu.

Left on 03/30/2013 for a stay in May 2012
My wife and I got married in May 2012 in Port Vila, held the wedding and stayed over a week at the house. Very comfortable and spacious. We rented a 4x4 which was necessary for both transportation and safety in Port Vila at that time (7 convicted inmates escaped). We enjoyed the peace and comfort. A little faraway but not a big issue. A bit windy.
The house keeper was very helpful and kept a good watch during the nights. We were very grateful. We even had their kids as our flower girls.
Overall, we recommend this place. Sorry for the belated review. -

The house was very nice and looked after. The check in was easy with obed and eki living on site.
Sadly we had bad weather the whole stay and only used the natural pool once! The water was just too rough. The island in general was not what we have expected. But it was good to have been there and seen it.
Thank you for the nice stay and accommodation. -

My husband and I took our whole family there plus 5 month old granddaughter to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary and we where not disappointed. The villa is lovely with privacy for everyone and right on the ocean. Don't go if you dislike the sounds of the ocean. It is a little out of the way and you definitely will need a car as getting a taxi everyday is expensive.I got a quote over the internet from Go2rent cars and it was expensive but when in town we hired a Daishu for $82 per dayfrom the same company, much cheaper than the price I was quoted.
The 3 children of the caretakers were absolutely delightful and couldn't get over our fair skinned blue eyed granddaughter. Just a hint, maybe if you go take some small gifts for the children (ages 9 to 2 years),they were so excited. You can also buy gifts in town, like we did. Make you realise that we have so much. -

My partner and I plus 3 other friends were very happy at Bukura, Obed and Eki (caretakers) were very friendly and helpful. Beautiful setting, great little rock pool to swim in and very peaceful. Good, clean amenities and plenty of space, would love to go back. Must have a car though as taxis don't come out there, so we hired a van.

Bukura beach house was everything promised and more. On arrival, the house was perfectly clean and tidy, Obed and Eki were warm and welcoming and the view was breathtaking. As the week progressed, we found the house to have everything we needed.
The pool was the highlight for us, providing hours of bliss. For those more adventurous, the snorkelling just behind the breaking waves on the drop off is well worth a look. Reef/aqua shoes are a must for getting out there however.
Beyond the boundaries of Bukura Beach House, there is much to see and do. A dive or snorkel trip with Big Blue is a must, the most relaxed, friendly, professional bunch of people I think I have ever met. Mele Cascades are also well worth the effort and rather close to Bukura. A buggy tour was a great way to see the island and fun even in bad weather.
In bad weather, the wonderful kitchen and the DVD/board-game collection provided hours of entertainment at the house.
All in all a wonderful, easy and great value holiday can be had staying at Bukura Beach House.

This is the second time I have stayed at bukurabeachhouse and both times it has been fabulous. First of all he price is amazing for such a beautiful property right on the waterfront. The house really is stunning and has been designed to accommodate people so they have their own space or can all get together. The ocean pool is definitely a winner - I spent many hours snorkelling there. The water temperature is beautiful. Robin provided a tremendous amount of useful information prior my stay and answered any questions I had. I found this tremendously helpful. Obed and Eki are great - helpful but not intrusive. They do a fantastic job of keeping the property clean and tidy. Loved the Beach Bar Pizza and Movie night - thoroughly recommend it. I'll be back again!

I won this at a charity auction not realizing where I was going...what a surprise! The house, surroundings and facilities were excellent...everything was there to enjoy our holiday, be it lounging in front of a movie, having a BBQ on the patio or a dip in the stunning ocean pool. Loved the people of Vanuatu, the caretakers and their beautiful children were delightful but very unobtrusive.Hire a car, there's plenty to do, the markets and side of road stalls had lots of fresh fruit and veges and the supermarket had everything. For all things French go to Leader Price.I can't recommend this enough.Going to sleep with the sound of the sea, nothing like it!

I've always loved this side of the Island so when we were looking at Honeymoon options we picked this property and spent an amazing 4 days of doing nothing but just relaxing.
We arrived at the beautiful Bukura Beach House late in the evening. It was dark and all we could make of the place was the sound of the wind and the waves. Obed and Eki were still up, waiting for us and showed us the house and then said goodnight. The next few days were amazing!
The house has everything from a fully equipped kitchen to wifi, lots of space indoors and out, with a stunning vista of the ocean & Port Vila at a distance. There is nothing I could fault about the place, although I would recommend having a car so you can easily get into town for some groceries.
Thank you Robin, Obed & Eki.
We would love to come back some day.

We read many excellent reviews on Bukura Beach house so it's always tough for a place to live up to such high expectations. We weren't disappointed at all, the house is well kept, the Obed and Eki who maintain the house were lovely and unintrusive, and the sea pool out front was nice for a dip. The location is a little out of town but we knew that and had a rental car to get around. There's a reef about 30m just off the front of the house and the waves would crash down over it so we didn't think swimming and snorkelling was an option but since we had a car we could get around to other beaches for that. We stocked up at the market in town and cooked most nights and the kitchen had everything we needed. The bed was comfy, shower and bath were also very good.

My husband and a close friend travelled to Vanuatu for a close friends wedding and wanted something different to your normal resort experience. With 25 friends staying in town we could visit just about any resort we wanted!
We opted for beautiful Bukura and boy were we glad we did. We picked up our hire car from the airport and went straight to the supermarket for supplies (recommend you go to the one next to the markets in town it's better stocked and you can base your purchases on the delights you find at the markets). The house was easy to find but with all the wet weather the roads were pretty rough (they were filling pot holes as we left!) but this just added to the experience.
We were met at the gate by Obed, Eke, their beautiful children and friendly cat Meow. The house is just wonderful, stylish but comfortable. The kitchen is fabulously appointed which is always my concern as a really passionate cook. It was great fun to create a 'mystery box' from the markets and create amazing meals in the kitchen and on the BBQ.
The bedrooms and bathrooms are large, comfortable and well equipped with great quality linen and towels. The walk in robes are a dream!
Waking up to the crashing surf each morning, a quick dip in the sensational ocean pool was followed by breakfast overlooking the ocean to plan our adventures for the day. With Robin's agreement we had a 'post wedding' get together with some of our friends and they just loved the house. The CD collection helped the party atmosphere and we popped down to Benjor later in the night for some take away pizzas.
There are quite a lot of pretty little fish in the pool, it was a bit rough at the time (not long after the cyclone in Fiji) to go out on the reef unfortunately but I bet it's gorgeous from what we could see.
In summary, you really do feel like you've stepped into another world at Bukura where you are privileged to experience Robin's little slice of heaven.
A few tips:
- Tamanu for lunch is an absolute must and worth the drive
- We took a stove top coffee maker - should have taken coffee too
- You can buy a bag of ice from Banjor for cocktails
- snorkelling at Hidden Island is fabulous
- Lotus Day Spa is sensational
- Don't bother with the skim milk
We'd go back in a heartbeat!! Thank you Robin for sharing your piece of paradise with us. -

The photos of this house are exactly what you get. The property is stunning. The garden, the house, the coral swimming pool, all beautiful. We were there for 4 days over the Easter break and enjoyed every single minute. The house is self-contained you just need to bring your food, drinks and snorkelling gear. There are Dvds and CDs as well as books to read. Robin sends you a detailed info pack. We flew in on Easter Saturday and stayed the first night in town which enabled us to experience a little bit of Port Vila. We picked up a rental car the next morning and did grocery shopping then drove out to the house. We highly recommend Go2 Rentals they were great with no hassles. We arranged the rental car on-line and it was waiting for us out the front of the office with the keys under the mat. Robin's directions to the house are spot on. So much so that she warns you to slow down when approaching Mele Village as ”there may be children or pigs crossing the road.” And, right on cue, there go the pigs crossing the road. It was classic. When you arrive at the house Obed and Eki are there to greet you with lovely smiles and they give you a short tour of the house and explain its facilities etc then they leave you alone and it's almost as if they are not there. We spent most of our time enjoying the house and pool but did venture out one of the days and do an around the island drive which we enjoyed immensely. On our last day we woke up to a beautiful sunny morning and saw that a cruise ship was heading into port. We drove into town to have some lunch. Wow, what a transformation compared to when we first arrived. It was crazy on the roads and in town. We enjoyed it and it was a great experience seeing and being part of all the activity however it certainly made us appreciate the peace and serenity we had at the house. We were able to leave the rental car at the airport and you guessed it, we left the keys under the mat. We will definitely come back for another visit.

Thanks to Robin the owner of this property for allowing us to share your little piece of paradise. You have done a beautiful job in creating a home that was a pleasure to stay in. The furnishings throughout the property are tasteful and of high quality. The facilities in the house were more than adequate. What a great rock pool for swimming and snorkeling in (great to even sit and enjoy a cocktail at low tide in - plastic glasses of course!)And to swim over the reef and see the beautiful coloured coral and fish. Just fantastic! So many areas throughout the grounds where you can settle in for a relaxing read, sleep, drink or just enjoy the incredible views of the ocean, great photo opportunities for the photo enthusiasts. From our first point of contact with Robin regarding the booking she was prompt in replying to our emails and has been so friendly and helpful in the manner in which she answered our many questions and in also supplying a copy of the "Guest Information Sheets" that was very thorough and extremely informative. Thank you to Obed and Eki who are the caretakers and were very welcoming and polite when we first arrived and had the house and grounds looking just great. What a lovely friendly family. They were there if you needed them to answer any questions or to help you organise transport but otherwise were very unobtrusive and very quite. We didn't have a hire car whilst staying at Bukura Beach House so we hired a taxi on two occasions, Obed and Eki arranged this for us. It wasn't very expensive and worked well for our group. If you do have a hire car the drive to the property isn't difficult, roads were better than we thought and Robin provided great directions in the information sheets. We loved the ambiance of this home. What a way for three couples to each celebrate their 40th Wedding anniversaries in your piece of paradise! We would highly recommend this property and certainly look forward to visiting again.

Left on 04/11/2012 for a stay in March 2012
My self and my wife stayed at Bukura Beach house for nine nights recently and had an amazing Honeymoon there.
The house had every thing we needed and the BBQ area was a perfect place to cook our daily meals, also the views while cooking the BBQ cannot be beaten.
The care takers Obed and Eki cleaned up the garden and grounds first thing in the morning after we had a pretty windy night mid way through our stay which was a pleasant surprise and the gardens looked immaculate the whole time we stayed there.
there are also a couple of resorts with in a 5 minute drive that we ate the occasional meal so if we didn't feel like cooking or felt like a cocktail or two we just took the short drive down to see them(Benjor Resort was one of them).
also the Ocean pool would have to be the high light off the place as its a perfect place to cool down even in the low tide.
Thank you so much for making our honeymoon so special and we will see you again soon Bukura beach house.

Box HillA little piece of Paradise……
Left on 02/09/2012 for a stay in July 2011
Bukura Beach House on the edge of Mele Bay in Vanuatu is a piece of paradise that we should all discover at least once in our lifetime.. A beautifully designed and maintained property that can sleep up to 3 couples provides self catering opportunities for the tropically inspired master chef, yet is only a few kilometres from Port Vila where restaurants and cafes await. The pool which is cut into the coral reef gives the pleasure of the ocean while being right at the end of the tropical garden. With views of the Port Vila lights at night, and the chance to see dolphins during the day, there is an opportunity to while away the days without ever leaving the house. Which day bed or cabana to relax on will be the most important question of your day. The onsite managers truly love the property and whilst they are non intrusive, they will ensure that your stay is without incident. Robin the owner has a wealth of knowledge about what to do, where to eat and where to shop, having lived on the property herself in past years. I cannot recommend Bukura more highly. I went with 2 girlfriends and we had ample space to chillout on our own, and also to spend time together over dinner and drinks in the wonderful open plan living area.

I've been to the house twice and I just love it. The ocean pool is fabulous - great place to snorkel as well as cool off on hot days without having to tackle crowds of tourists or lug beach gear here, there and everywhere.
Obed and Eki are great and really look after you without hanging
around. They are friendly and obviously love the property and take great pride in caring for it. All the facilities throughout the house are modern and well maintained.
There are plenty of places to spread out and have a sleep, read or lookout over the ocean. The view of Port Vila is visible from all the buildings and is just gorgeous. A great way to wake up every morning!
If you want to relax and get away from it all this is definitely the place to go to. I can't wait to head back again! -

Bukura Beach House is so unique because it is right on the edge of Mele Bay and from the moment we arrived we could see the ocean and knew it was just a hop, step & a jump to be sitting in the most exquisite clear water in the ocean pool. Not just that, it was peaceful, natural and non-commercial and we were on our own. The house and grounds compliment the ocean as it all produces a unique environment of peace, privacy and exploration. Obed and Eki were beautiful hosts who are proud of the property they care for. I stayed at Bukura Beach House a couple of years ago and plan to go back soon. It is quite simply the best "relax and chill" holiday location I have been to and I have been to a few. The house is situated near enough to the town to not feel too cut off but far enough away (on a unsealed road) to keep traffic to a minimum. I loved the unstated yet classy way the home was constructed and fitted out. I also appreciated the understated manner in which we were looked after by "Eccy and Orbud" - thanks. My favourite thing was the "rock pool" - I was able to swim among the tropical fish but not have to venture too far out. I would definitely recommend this to my friends - no hesitation at all.

We then move though to our beautifully appointed bedrooms with ensuite double bathroom. For the next 2 weeks we are constantly discovering new sites to drink in the magnificent views of the sea and lush tropical garden. The rock pool with it's resident tropical fish was my favourite way to start the day! The water is so clear you don't even need goggles.Whether it was relaxing with a book on one of the many lounges,on the point overlooking the rock pool or in the garden, swimming with my fish friends or just lying in bed listening to the surf and watching the sun come up over the water, I cannot think of a place that would be closer to paradise for me. Thank you for creating such a beautiful place to enjoy such a magnificent environment. I will be back !

Our stay was the most wonderful experience/holiday ever experienced. Your house is beautifully set out and has wonderful 'Karma'. You can't help be sink back and relax to the sound of rhythmic waves in the background. Obed, Eki and the children added a richness to the holiday, whilst being very discreet. Whilst a little way out of Port Vila this offered no problem. We hope to be back next year.

Bukura beach house was everything we thought it could be plus more! We used Trip advisor to design a perfect honeymoon and Bukura was no dissapointment! We planned to stay there first up on our honeymoon so we could have some time away from it all and to just fully relax in privacy to unwind from a busy wedding period. It was perfect for relaxing, the rock pool was amazing and the scattered daybeds were well used for kicking back and reading a book. The caretakers had the place in prisitine condition and were very respectful of our privacy! A excellent place to get away!

We have wonderful memories from our stay at Bukura Beach House. It was just what we needed! We were looking for somewhere to unwind and recharge the batteries and Bukura ticked all of the boxes...private, peaceful, beautiful and just the perfect place to rest and recover. The stunning ocean pool changed with the tides and was such a treat. It really was paradise...we kept pinching ourselves every morning!
It was an absolute pleasure dealing with Robin during the booking process - she did a great job of answering our questions and preparing us for our stay. Her responses were quick and her information sheet was incredibly helpful. Obed, Eki and family were just lovely. They were more than happy to help when needed but respected our privacy - the perfect balance.
Our stay was just magical...we're already talking about when we can next go back! Thank you Robin, Obed & Eki for sharing your little slice of paradise. -

We arrived in Vila after leaving a cold and windy Brisbane apprehensive about driving down the wrong side of the road that we had be warned was not in the best condition. All our worries were unfounded as not only did we drive on the right side but when we arrived we were met by the smiling Eki who gave us the grand tour and the tensions and streeses melted immediately. After unpacking (read place suitcase in walk in wardrobe )we retired to the living pavilion to enjoy the lights of Port Vila across the bay.Discussion centered on where we were going to eat breakfast the next morning ,on the north terrace ,the south terrace ,the varendah or the fern glade. We opted for the north terrace overlooking the ocean pool with fish clearly visable in the clear water. At the end of each day we all gathered on the varendah and took it in turns to prepare delightful meals from the well equiped kitchen, usually to the accompanyment of Dean Martin and the lapping ocean. After the concert we retired to our private pavilions kept scool by the South Pacific zyphyrs. All too quickly our week was up and we said a sad goodbye to Eki and Obed but only until next time

My son Richard and i were fortunate enough to stay at Bukura beach house and we were not disappointed. The ability to stroll down through the beautiful terraced garden to the pool and reef (both full of fish) in privacy was great. The house itself had all we needed to look after ourselves in style, and the help and info we got from Robin made our trip far easier and enjoyable.

Needing to re-charge my batteries I couldn't have found a better place to stay than Bukura Beach House. After stocking up with groceries in Port Vila there is nothing left to do but choose what to do next; relax in the coral pool, snorkel, read in one of several outside nooks, or wander around the stunning gardens. Bukura Beach House is beautifully appointed and very practical; Robin has thought of everything, especially if you love to cook!

We wanted a self catering, high end, private waterfront location to retreat and rest. We found Robin's home all that and more. The house and fittings are elegant luxurious but comfortable - all integrated with the natural surroundings. Lovely, luxurious, relaxing. Obed was very helpful with any help we needed and assisted us when appliances were not functioning. We did have trouble with the dishwasher and washing machine but Robin is working on sorting that out already. It met our expectations.

Christchurch, New ZealandLuxury hideaway for less than you think
Left on 11/15/2010 for a stay in September 2007
We stayed at the Bukura Beach House as two couples. We wanted somewhere beautiful, luxurious, private, on the beach and with access to water activities. We also wanted self-catering, because we love to cook, but have someone who will clean and fix things that go wrong while respecting our privacy. And of course, we wanted it to be vaguely affordable...
We found all of this at Bukura Beach House and loved every moment of our holiday! -

A little piece of heaven - in the Pacific. A beautifully presented property and stunning gardens and grounds - maintained perfectly. You will want for nothing with the accomodation and amenities. An opportunity for peace and rest - with Port Vila town not too far away - a car helps if you want to get around. Or, get your supplies for the week from the excellent main supermarket in town and stay put for the week!
Obed and Eki are wonderfully helpful or, quietly in the background - as you wish.
A special place and a wonderful holiday. -

We (2 couples) loved the house and our time there. The house and grounds are stunning. Websites do not really do the property justice. A really stunning property in a great location.
Obed and Eki are great - discret but available, very friendly and helpful.

New Year 2009
BrisbaneThe South Pacific in New Years
Left on 11/11/2010 for a stay in December 2009
Bukura is a great place to relax and use as a base to explore the region surrounding Port Vila. The house is immaculate and well suited to several couples traveling together as it offers a good mix of shared areas with private bedroom spaces.
The ocean pool is good for a dip and the multiple vantage points across the lawn area have been well set up to take advantage of the ocean breezes and views.
There are small resorts close by to explore other facilities and Port Vila is an easy drive although there is a good 5 minutes of dirt road that is better suited to a 4WD. The only negative is that whilst immaculately presented upon arrival, the grounds and house areas are not maintained during the week so expect to do a little cleaning yourself and see the odd palm frond nestled gently on the grass.
A good option and well priced for the location, style of furnishings and general ambience. We watched the first sun of the new year rise over the ocean nestled comfortably in the day beds whilst sipping on the delicate nature of the natural environment. -

Left on 11/10/2010 for a stay in April 2008
We stayed at Bukera Beach House in april 2008, traveling with our two adult children and a close family friend who was very ill at the time. The short drive from town ensures that you are away from the hustle and bustle, yet close enough to easily pop into town for shopping or a meal. The layout of the house is fabulous as it allows everybody to have their own space, yet has so many beautiful communal areas where everybody can come together. The stunning day-bed out on the point was a big favourite with our group, and in fact was so popular that rather than being a quiet spot to escape to it became a gathering point where many hours were whiled away, relaxing, chatting and taking in the views. The outlook from the house is spectacular and the prevailing breezes provide welcome relief from the humidity. All in all, just like having your very own resort!

Melbourne, AustraliaYour private South Pacific hide away
Left on 11/06/2010 for a stay in December 2009
This property has it all. Immaculately presented, tastefully furnished and the beauty of the ocean front right there for you. You can lay in bed and listen to the waves breaking on the reef and the stars at night are amazing. This is the real South Pacific. The ocean pool is perfect for a dip in the morning before embarking on a snorkel over the reef. You can spend all your time outside as there is a huge covered deck with barbeque and eating area overlooking the grounds and ocean. The fareas down by the ocean front are the perfect spot to read or just gaze out to sea. The grounds are beautifully laid out and well cared for. A trip into Port Vila for supplies is all we wanted to do. This is only 20 minutes away by car and the supermarket there stocks lots of French goodies in the deli. Obed and Eki welcomed us and showed us around then retreated to their own area. After that we barely saw them. If you want to feel like you have your own private spot in the South Pacific this is the place you want to be - truly magnifique!

What a fantastic place to be. We needed to get away from everything to just put our feet up and not do anything except eat and drink! It was absolutely perfect for just this and the house has been designed beautifully. Robin is the most generous person to open up her special place on this planet for others to enjoy - great memories of a wonderful spot!

Christchurch, New ZealandA very relaxing week
Left on 11/03/2010 for a stay in July 2010
My husband and I along with another couple and another friend spent 7 nights at this house. It is situated in a quiet area away from Port Vila which we wanted. There was a coral pool which can be swam in at anytime and the grounds were well manicured. There is plenty of space around the grounds to socialise with your group or for private space. The view is fantastic.
The house is in three parts, the central part being the living area and kitchen. The other two house the bedrooms, one is the master with ensuite and the other has two rooms with a shared bathroom.
For what we required which was just a place to hang out with friends, swim, soak in the island atmosphere and warm up after a cold NZ winter, this place was perfect.
It would make a great place for an outdoor wedding as well as the view is perfect.
As mentioned earlier, the house is away from Port Vila and to make your stay more enjoyable, having a rental vehicle is a must. During our time here we drove around the island and I recommend this. We also shopped in Port Vila, played golf at the local green and visited many good restaurants.
There are caretakers onsite in a separate area but they are not to cater for you, simply to show you the facilities and fix any problems that may occur. This suited as fine as catering was not what we wanted.
Overall, this was a very relaxing holiday and the house is perfect for friends to get together. Young children would have to be watched as the water is not fenced at all.
Totally recommend the house as a good vacation spot.
