Couldn't recommend #1 Porters Court highly enough. All dealings with owner, Ingrid, were efficient, friendly and very helpful, and the villa itself was exactly what we were after.
The villa is one on eight on a small community 1 mile north of Holetown and a short walk from the fabulous platinum coast beaches. It is ideally placed in a quiet location, but within walking distance of numerous restaurants, rum shops and bars. The complex has a well maintained pool which makes for a refreshing dip between topping up the tan.
Ingrid arranged a taxi pick up for us at the airport, and we were met at the property by Kerri-ann, the maid who does an excellent job in keeping the villa spotlessly clean. Kerri-ann showed us around the property and the wider complex, explaining how things worked, and showing us the pedestrian access to the beach road. She then left us to enjoy our holiday, popping back every few days to clean and wash towels and bedding.
The property has two double/twin bedrooms and a good size open plan lounge / kitchen / dining area. In addition there is a large veranda, perfect for dining al fresco.
In summary, this property was absolutely perfect for us, and I only have one regret - that we couldn't stay longer. We'll certainly be back.

Really lovely place. Nice blend between authentic colonial feeling and convient mod-cons. Use the side door/passage for access to road and beach - a lot more convenient than walking the long way around as we did. 5 mins walk to the beach, unless you just smile at the guards at the Royal Pavillion, act like a resident and stroll right through.

The accomodation was excellent - spotlessly clean and very well fitted out. Keri ann greeted us on arrival and came back in to clean and change towels/bedding twice a week. It was lovely and quiet, tucked in the corner of the development and only a 10 minute walk to the most fantastic beach. There are several great places to eat and drink within walking distance or a short bus/taxi ride. We will be back!

Having spent many holidays in various excellent hotels on Barbados we
decided to 'try' a villa holiday. We're hooked - we loved the freedom a villa
allows and Ingrid has made sure the villa is very well equipped. Kerri-Ann,
the housekeeper is lovely, very friendly and helpful-the villa is kept
absolutely spotless. Dennis the gardener is an unobtrusive presence,
initially, but is always ready to assist (especially with advice on Bajan
cooking!)
For us, the location is perfect - 2 minutes walk from the beach and the
warm,calm waters of the St James Coast. JuJu's Beach Bar is just across the
road and is perfect for extremely reasonably priced local home cooking or
cocktails at sunset-beach style.
When we felt in the mood for a more sophisticated lunch or evening meal
we strolled across to the Lone Star-good food and a bit of 'star spotting'!
Holetown is a 20 minute walk away (5 minute drive - by bus if you are
brave -car for the feint of heart!) and has a good and varied selection of
restaurants and bars.
Needless to say, we have just booked our third holiday to Porters Court!
