Durham, New HampshireRestful and relaxing with friends in Portland
Left on 05/07/2013 for a stay in May 2013
The house is in a great neighborhood, walking distance to stores, restaurants and transportation.
It is clean and beautifully decorated and maintained. The garden is a delight, we had drinks and meals out on the back porch enjoying the flowers, herbs and general calm vibe.
Lisa provides every convenience you could ask for, and is so gracious about accepting suggestions.
We enjoyed cooking in the well equipped kitchen. It felt better than home because there were new and interesting books, games and paintings to enjoy as well as the fact that it was super, super clean. -

Helena, MTGreat Spring Break!
Left on 04/16/2013 for a stay in April 2013
Our host met us at the guest house and gave us the grand tour! It was a lovely house with a open feel. It had a user friendly kitchen with all the necessities, down to 1/2 and 1/2 for coffee. Evan, my daughter says "she loved the open spaced, and I loved the upstairs because it was fun! I liked the flamingo decorations and I liked how we could walk everywhere and resturants were close and I liked how we were close to Whole Foods. I loved Portland!" As Evan stated ( she's 9 ) the upstairs was great, our host had 2 separate spaces set up for the kids. We loved the quiet neighbor hood and the ability to walk to shopping ( great thrift store nearby ReRun)and restaurants. Nice to be able to do laundry. Lisa was great to work with she emailed us promptly and returned our deposit without delay. Definitely recommend!

Grand Rapids, MichiganJust like home!
Left on 04/11/2013 for a stay in March 2013
Our stay in Lisa's bungalow was perfect in so many ways. First of all Lisa is a gracious and personable host. The house was clean and comfortable and in a convenient location for us. We travel to Portland often to spend time with our grown daughters, and their families. This time was especially nice as we had enough room to host 11 for my husband's birthday. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook during our stay. We also had our 2 grandchildren spend the night, and the upstairs bedroom was perfect for them. The neighborhood was in full spring bloom, and we loved our morning walks to enjoy the color. Right across the street is the path to Irvington Park, and of course there are coffee shops and Whole Foods about a block away. There are many more nice things about Lisa's house, as she has put a lot of effort into making it more than just a rental. We already have plans to return in august. Our thanks to Lisa for providing a place to stay that feels "just like home!"

Anchorage, AlaskaBeautful home in a idealic neighborhood setting.
Left on 12/01/2012 for a stay in September 2012
First of all Lisa was very approachable and easy to communicate with during the booking process and my actual stay. She is passionate about her house and this shows through the extraordinary attention to detail throughout the entire house and her lovely garden.
The house is very comfortable with nice furnishing and a great kitchen. I loved this neighborhood. I walked every morning of my 3 night stay and enjoyed the local restaurants (The County Cork has great live music and delicious deserts).
I loved the mature trees that lined the streets where every house seemed to have a distinct personality.
I shopped for groceries at the Whole Foods market on 15th and Freemont which is amazing. It is a block and a half away and the variety and abundance made me breathless. Of course I live In alaska so am not used to this sort of thing.
If you want the total unique neighborhood experience that Portland has to offer then Lisa's house should be your top pick. -

We recently stayed at Lisa's gorgeous home for an all girl week getaway and we couldn't have been more satisfied with our choice! Lisa was so great and helpful from our very first email. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the care Lisa has put into this home. From the moment we got there we felt right at home. The house had everything we could possibly need for the week, and not only that but it was the very best of everything! I love the thoughtful way Lisa has decorated the space, not to mention the amazing deep claw foot bathtub! The backyard is such a wonderful place to enjoy your morning coffee. The location is also perfect, within walking distance to coffee shops, Whole foods and much more. I could go on and on about what a fantastic place this is for your next stay in Portland! But I will just wrap it up by saying you will really love this place, your search for the perfect spot ends here :)

Los Angeles, CaliforniaExceptional Experience!
Left on 08/15/2012 for a stay in August 2012
The best way to describe our experience is in the fact that I never write reviews. In this case, I truly feel the time it takes to actually write this glowing review is well worth it considering what a stupendous effort Lisa made for our 10 day stay. Some quick but effective terms to describe this property: Clean, quiet, great location, ideal for families, full amenities, and more. And the owner: Accomodating, thoughtful, friendly, communicative, helpful, understanding, and goes the extra mile while doing all the little things. Thanks again Lisa, you can count on us as repeat guests.

Warsaw, PolandWonderful, impeccably clean and well appointed home!
Left on 07/03/2012 for a stay in May 2012
I can't say enough about how happy I was to have stayed at Lisa's house with my girlfriend, brother and mom. We came into town for my sister's graduation from college, so this was a mini family reunion of sorts. We loved the time we spent there, and wish we had actually stayed at the house more, as it was so relaxing to be there. We enjoyed the neighborhood, with its coffee shops, restaurants, etc., all within a couple of blocks. We slept wonderfully, and ate breakfast every morning out on the back deck (we had amazing weather). I would happily stay there again and couldn't recommend it more to others.

Atascadero, CASerene Cottage Chic in wonderful neighborhood and great location
Left on 06/10/2012 for a stay in April 2012
This home is an absolute joy to stay in. The decor is beautiful, with just the right blend of charm and sophisticated design.Everything is comfortable and beautifully maintained, with an attention to detail that obviously reflects the loving efforts of the owner. Everything was immaculately clean! The space is light and airy, and even on the rainy days there is a warm, sunny feel inside. We loved the loft space, which gives a tree-house feeling and is a perfect place to curl up with a book. We especially loved the kitchen, which is well organized and stocked with quality appliances, cookware, dishes and utensils. The garden windows offer a lovely view of the back garden and we were lucky enough to have some warm sunny days to enjoy the deck and eating area just outside the kitchen. The location could not have been better, and very convenient to take a short walk to Whole Foods Market and several other cafes and shops. The neighborhood was beautiful, quiet and felt very safe. Lisa was lovely to work with, efficient, and offered us all the information and resources we needed. We could not have asked for a better experience and wished we could have stayed longer! I would not want to stay anywhere else and can't say enough about this wonderful home.

San DiegoSweet and charming house in a quiet neighborhood
Left on 06/03/2012 for a stay in April 2012
My mom and I stayed here for several days in april and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! The house is absolutely adorable and immaculately clean! There is a lot of care and attention put into making this house a warm and personal place to stay; we felt so comfortable staying in this unique, light and airy space. The house has a very cool, spacious upstairs loft which we loved staying in and really enjoyed all the natural light that came in. There is also a back deck off the kitchen that overlooks a lovely garden space, and we were lucky enough to enjoy a sunny weekend hanging out on this deck. The house is also located on a quiet street and neighborhood but is walking distance from whole foods, coffee shops, a wine bar, and brewery. This charming house is just a joy to stay in and we really felt comfortable and safe staying here and would go back again in a heart beat!

Northfield, MNComfortable house in a great location.
Left on 06/01/2012 for a stay in May 2012
We stayed at this charming and comfortable house while visiting family. It is about 2 miles from our son's home which is a nice walk. It is less than a block from two bars/cafes and a coffee house all of which had friendly service. It is one block from Starbucks and Whole Foods grocery. It was a short drive to downtown. The neighborhood is very quiet.
The house is well furnished with a very complete kitchen. We had family over one evening and cooked and seated 7 people with ease. The internet was fast and easy to use. We didn't make much use of the television but it and numerous video tape movies were available. We found several books on the shelves that were interesting reads. The house was very clean and well maintained. Lisa was friendly and efficient in checking us in and out. She provided information and directions to places we were interested in that made our stay go well, and she answered all our questions.
We would not hesitate recommending staying at this house to any of our family and friends. When we return to visit Portland for an extended stay we will definitely stay here again. -

I am so happy to have chosen this home to stay in! Totally immaculate and charming with lots of sunlight. Lisa was wonderful to work with and made everything easy. For me, having a Whole Foods a half block away was super convenient and made healthy cooking a breeze. A lovely home--I was sad I couldn't stay longer!
Thank you Lisa :-)
