This gorgeous private suite is located in the trees above downtown Portland with all the amenities of a luxury hotel and none of the negatives. The cozy fireplace and large sitting room add to the ambiance and the neighborhood is one of the best in Portland. There is free street parking and it is located in easy walking distance to both downtown and the famed Pearl district and Northwest 23rd, with a plethora of world class restaurants and shopping.
An amazing deck with heaters and ample seating is available weather permitting. The small efficient kitchenette is stocked with teas and coffee for your enjoyment.

This suite is so beautiful & Vicki is very nice. She even drew a map for us because we planned to walk most of the trip. It is located way up in the beautiful hills & it has gorgeous views. The suite is literally in the trees & it was lovely to open the windows to enjoy the perfect weather that weekend. Vicki has wonderful taste & I loved admiring her art. If you're seeking a secluded, quiet rental that's near downtown Portland this is it! I just don't recommend walking from the Max to the rental while toting luggage, it's all uphill :)

I wish i could figure out an easy way for walkers to get back up hill but other than a taxi or a rental car, legs are about it. But what a great workout!!! That's another thing I love about this neighborhood...the up and down hills make for a great exercise regimen, even if you are only taking a half hour walk in a loop.

We've stayed in Portland many times...and this is the best, inside and out: beautiful, spacious, luxurious, with a bird's-eye view of Portland--from every room. The deck was our oasis. Your place reminds us of our stay in a tree-house at the Post Ranch Inn south of Carmel, Ca. Thanks Vicki for everything!

Vicky has done an outstanding job of making a very artistic suite which is beautifully decorated, and new. We loved the proximity to downtown, the view framed by the trees, and the privacy. We have stayed in many wonderful places, and this is one of the best. Vicki has done an excellent job providing necessities for a good stay: excellent reading lights, plentiful morning coffee, a well stocked mini kitchen, Wi-Fi, etc. The Vista Springs Cafe, excellent casual dining, is right down the hill. The deck on the 1st floor is gorgeous. Enjoy!

Thank you Vicki. We chose this place on a whim and so glad we did! Vicki's artistic nature shows in everything. Her attention to detail is amazing. The pictures on the web site almost do it justice, but viewing the suite is even better than expected! The walk to downtown is just what we needed after a ten hour car ride. It is the perfect spot to enjoy the best of Portland. There is a restaurant just around the corner and many more just a mile or so down the hill. We love checking out new cities, but the best part of this stay was returning to our suite! That's not to say Portland wasn't fun...it was. However this suite is just amazing and we enjoyed every minute spent there. The bed is very comfy, which is important to us. Also, thank you for the tour of your home...what a treat! I really love your personal touches with your art. Especially love the glass in the windows! Your painting by the elevator is one of my favorites!!

This suite is a pure gem. Vicki (the owner) has done an exquisite job on the design and the appointments within the suite. Awaiting knee surgery, I was especially delighted that I had no stairs to climb. In fact, I parked right outside the house, rolled in my suitcase and took a private elevator down to the suite. Brilliant. The suite is spacious, comfortable, light-filled, the bed is a dream (slept 11 hours one night). The views are delightful, with city & bridge views off in the distance. Vicki has thought of every conceivable detail. As a guest you want for nothing. The suite is also divinely quiet and private. The neighbourhood is spectacular with heritage homes at every curve. It is well situated too. It is only a short drive to restaurants, shops (you must try is Elephant Deli), and it is on a direct route to The Pearl District, and other popular areas in Portland. If you can talk Vicki into a tour of the rest of the house, do it! The house is full of incredible art and packed with history. As I love Portland, and try to visit often, now that I have found Vicki's "Haven in the Heights" I will be back to stay often. Su G. (Vancouver Island, BC)

I spent 4 wonderful nights here. I'm a mature older woman and particular about where I stay. The suite is beautifully appointed, secure and serene, situated in a quiet park-like neighborhood. The spacious enclosed deck is the perfect place to relax after spending a day exploring Portland's urban center. There was nothing lacking. And, I'm a private person. Vicki was gracious and available, but never intrusive. What I liked the least - having to leave!! When I return to Portland, Vicki is the first person I'll call.

This place has become a favorite of my husband and mine. The house is one of a kind and Vicki has done an incredible job of creating a space that is gorgeous and comfortable. The views from the spacious covered patio (that you are welcome to use) and the apartment are fabulous- downtown Portland. Yet far enough away on the wooded hillside that it is absolutely quiet at night. We walked to restaurants and slept like rocks. I can't wait to go again!

This was our 4th FlipKey experience as I have found most reviews to be truthful. The reviews I read before renting this property were 100% correct! The pictures do not do it justice. It is an incredible property in a very upscale section of Portland. It was immaculately clean and very tastefully decorated. Even though the decor was very classy, it was a very comfortable space...Probably 3 or 4 times larger than a hotel room. The kitchen was stocked with coffee and tea and condiments, which was great since we got in late afternoon and had flown in from the east coast. The bathroom had plentiful linens, plus hair dryers which was helpful not to have to pack that. Having the extra den area with an additional TV gave us extra space so we didn't feel crowded. It was a little too cool for us to utilize the deck, but we did go out there and it is amazing. Again, the pictures do not show how really beautiful it is and how beautiful the view is, even on a rainy day. Parking was always available in front of the home and the entry and exit using the elevator is extremely easy. The owner greeted us on arrival and was extremely gracious. We are very happy to have found this wonderful place and plan to stay there on our annual visits to Portland

We had a wonderful time at Vicki's. She was incredibly helpful and nice. And the place is gorgeous! Vicki is an interior designer and it shows in all the details. She gave us a tour of the rest of the house, and we were instantly enchanted. The space is large, open, and comfortable. We had access to the deck, which had amazing views. Not a single complaint, we definitely recommend staying here.
