Just 200 meters from the river Douro and just opposite to the Hop-On Hop-Off bus stop, the studio is within walking distance from most tourist attractions such as the Porto Wine Cellars, São Francisco Church, Palácio da Bolsa, Torre dos Clérigos, Avenida dos Aliados, City Hall, São Bento Railway Station. My friend and I stayed in another appartment of Elena's in the same building, on the third floor. A brand new clean, well provided for appartment with a balcony with a view on the river (and there is an elevator by the way). Oh, and a naked lady on the balcony (see pic).
Elena's service was excellent: she picked us up from the airport and had baked a delicious chocolate cake for us. In the appartment there was port, water, soft drinks, fruit and bread, tea and coffee already stocked for us. Elena is fluent in English and very helpful. The area is a bit noisy, but the windows are with double glazing and wooden shutters as well. When they are closed, it is a very quiet appartment. -

My husband and I, along with our adult son, rented Elena's studio for a week in april. Fabulous location for exploring the lovely city of Porto. Elena picked us up at the airport and gave us a quick tour on the way to the apartment. The apartment is well stocked and she had fruit, croissants and a cake waiting for us. The apartment is steps from the Douro River, close to public transportation and easy walking distance to many of the sights in Porto.

My wife and I stayed at Elena's studio apartment for 2 nights. We were not able to find her street, so she came in a taxi to find us a mile away, then drove with us in our car to her place. We were most impressed by this. Nearby street parking was very difficult to find so we parked in an underground garage 1.5 blocks away which, as I recall, was about 25 euros/night. Elena was delightful and eager to be helpful in any way. A bottle of wine and some snacks awaited our arrival and were a great touch after a long drive.
Porto is a charming city to visit with its downtown river, old buildings, sidewalk restaurants, ingenious bridges, wine boats, sidewalk vendors and entertainers, railroad station, etc.
The apartment is one flight up in an old building on a street that ends at the Duoro River. The river is only about 100-200 meters away, as are many cafes, restaurants, and wine purveyors. This riverfront area, on both sides, is the center of Porto.
The modern studio apartment is clean, tidy, simply decorated and furnished, and well-maintained. Some original stone walls are intact, as well as huge windows with wooden shutters. The kitchen and bath are a bit cramped but adequate. I had recommended adding one or two more horizontal surfaces to lay out maps, computer, etc. -

Elenas apartment is spotless and very well equiped and located right by the Duoro river and bridge. Perfect for exploring all parts of Porto by foot. However, it was the welcome that really impressed us all the most. We are all well travelled people and have never experienced such service as this. Elena coolected us form the train station and drove us to the apartment where were greeted by cake, port, beer, coca cola, water, fruit and corossaints. This was very welcome after a long days journey and even took the pressure off to getbreakfast items. Last but not least we thrilled to find our national flag on the table !! Elena was a fountain of knowledge and gave us all the pointers we needed for supermarkets, tourist offices etc. This is a beautiful apartment with uneaqueled service for the price. Highly recommended.

Hi,
Myself and a friend have just spent four days in this gem of an apartment. The situation is perfect for a visit to Porto being just metres from the douro river and from all major attractions. Elena who owns the apartment provides the perfect welcome and met us at the metro station in her car. She had welcome pack of fruit, fresh rolls and croissants, port wine, water, coca cola and other essentials in the fridge. She also baked us a welcome chocolate cake and wait for it, on arrival she provided us with a very welcome home made soup as she anticipated we had a long day travelling!!! The apartment is spotless, nicely decorated and has everything you would want to make your holiday enjoyable. I can't recommend this apartment highly enough or its owner and will definitely return to it again. -

La ubicación del piso es perfecta, los dueños son muy amables, nos recibieron muy bien, se preocuparon de todos los detalles, incluso nos tenían un delicioso pastel de chocolate de bienvenida. Se notó mucha dedicación y cariño en el recibimiento. El piso está muy bien equipado, limpio y bien decorado. Fue una muy buena experiencia.

The location of this apartment is fantastic! It is close to the river, restaurants, tour bus and boat pickups and across the street from a small grocery store and a patisserie.
The owner is keen to get renters into this new property that she has purchased and was very helpful.
We put our rented car in a nearby underground lot for the three nights that we were there - a small price to pay to be right in the middle of old Porto.

Nearby the hop-on-hop-off bus station makes exploring the city a pleasure.
With The Restaurants at the famous Ribeira in walking distance, we could enjoy the excellent wine without worrying about driving home.
The rooms have thick granite walls, but even though our Umts Internet (and also the cell phone) was able to get a very good signal and we could use our mobile internet to plan our next days.
The rooms/beds were nicely prepared. If you need/want to iron clothes, cook, make coffee, ... the room has it all.
We will come back again for sure. -

Ausgezeichnete Lage zur Erkundung der Stadt. Die Restaurants am Fluß sind ein paar Minuten zu Fuß entfernt. Eine Tiefgarage (24 Stunden offen) ist auch um die Ecke, was sehr hilfreich war, da wir mit dem auto angereist sind.
Auf dem Tisch im Zimmer erwartete uns bereits ein Fläschchen portugiesischen Weines als Willkomensgetränk. Alles sehr liebevoll hergerichtet.
Die Küche ist auch vollständig eingerichtet fuer Selbstversorger.
Die Sicherheitskameras der Stadt Porto in diesem Bereich (eine Kamera ist direkt vor dem Studio apartment) geben dem ganzen auch einen sicheren Eindruck.
