A superb villa - a true 'home from home' on a stunningly beautif
Left on 09/19/2013 for a stay in August 2013 | joy
A very big thank you Christian. Your villa is an absolute delight and we spent 2 fantastic weeks in Corsica enjoying its beautiful beaches, mountains and warm hospitality.
Dona Lisa is truly a 'home from home' with everything a family needs to have a relaxing and fun holiday. It is extremely well maintained, both inside and out. The pool was carefully cleaned by Christian each morning, parts of the garden watered and the villa itself is immaculate with a fully equipped kitchen, spacious bathrooms and comfortable beds. The excellent dishwasher meant that the hard work was taken out of clearing up after enjoying a meal of delicious Corsican food and the washing machine and clothes line meant we returned home with little washing to do - fantastic!
The villa is located close to the beautiful beaches of Palombaggia and Rondinara, both well worth a visit. Playa Baggia on Palombaggia is good for a beachside lunch/ice cream. Porto Vecchio has everything you could possibly need from restaurants to shops and supermarkets. Bonifacio is a quick and easy drive and good for a day trip. Try a glass bottomed boat trip round the sea caves. And a drive through the mountains starting at L'Ospedale is another must to really appreciate the beauty of Corsica. Five minutes drive from the villa and you can pick up freshly baked pastries and fresh fruit for breakfast. There is also a local Casino for other items.
We couldn't have asked for anything more and are very much looking forward to a return visit next year. What better recommendation could there be?

Thank you Christian for your lovely house which my wife and I and our 2 daughters aged 8 and 5 really liked. In particular, the air con available in the rooms and the electric shutters that meant we weren't woken by sunlight too early.
The villa is very well maintained, and my wife said it was so nice to find a rental villa where the dishwasher actually cleaned properly!!
A very comfortable open plan kitchen, living area and the linen and beds were nice too.
My only small requests would be a another more portable chopping board and a 2nd tea towel. However as I never asked you for these, you can gather they were not too important.
Thanks Christian for a lovely stay and hope to see you again.

We had high expectations of both Corsica and Chris's villa and we were delighted with both.
The attention to detail in the villa is outstanding. The location is private, without being isolated with wonderful views and Chris simply couldn't be more helpful, without in any way being intrusive. It's one of the very rare places that is actually better for real than on the web...
Food and groceries are only minutes away, as is the wonderful Santa Giulia beach. Essentially that's all you might need but Corsica is so much more than excellent beaches and a car is a must (but not a particularly large one!). Definitely get into the mountains and if you're brave try canyoning...
The ultimate test is would we return? Definitely yes, but for longer! We had an outstanding week and were very sad to leave.

We really enjoyed our week here! Beautiful villa in a quiet area, extremely close to the gorgeous beaches! (A free parking pass was left for us, which helped a lot) Five minutes drive to the supermarket too! Christian and Jerome really looked after every query (And I asked many!) and it was a pleasure to meet both of them.
We highly recommend Casa Marina, again a five minute drive. We dined there twice as it was so good with beautiful views!
Christian, it would have been a perfect score but one thin pillow on the beds wasn't too comfortable, and we were disappointed that the twin room had a stained bedside lamp shade. But, those small matters did not affect our holiday in the slightest and we will still recommend Villa Donna Lisa to all our friends :-) Read more
It has been very nice to me to meet you at the villa, thank you for you friendly contact!
Yes, I think that the free parking pass close to the beach provided to my guests is very useful.
I've been very touched when you told you me that "you wanted to spend more time at the villa & didn't want to go back home", I did appreciate.
Sarah, we have many pillows stored at the villa and if you'd asked for others more comfortable I would have provided them with pleasure!
I have already change the pillows in the 2 main bedrooms, just to consider your point of view (so thank you to have helped me to make the villa better :)
I Really hope to see you again at Dona Lisa!
Thank you so much for reviewing the villa.
Warm regards to all of you,
Great stay in a beautifully situated villa surrounded by nature

The villa is fantastically located near to several of the headline beaches to the south of Porto Vecchio but yet benefits from an extremely tranquil hillside location down a private trackway in the little village of Procojo. The garden is well established and thoughtfully laid out amongst large granite boulders, cork and olive trees and is also very private. The swimming pool is great and well suited for little kids as it benefits from heating which is great for small bodies as even in June the water would have been cool otherwise. The owner Christian was very friendly and keen to advise and assist. A delightful stay and would recommend without hesitation.

This villa has everything anyone could wish for including all modern conveniences. Internally the villa was superb in every way and, externally, the gardens were beautiful. The pool was especially attractive and most welcome to help cool down after time in the hot Corsican sun!
The villa is also very private down a short track off the road through the village of Precojo. The gardens are well established with mature trees and shrubs allowing our family to have a very relaxing break.
We visited a few restaurants in the area and can recommend Costa Marina (10 mins drive away) and Terramea, a bit further on both with fantastic terraces plus a host of places to eat within Porto Vecchio itself.
However the "icing on the cake" for us was Christian the owner who was extremely helpful from the first introduction to the villa and was on the end of a phone for any help we needed. I have to say he went beyond the call of duty 2 days from the end of our holiday when our Europcar rental car's clutch went and was towed away. The car rental company could not find a replacement car so we were effectively stranded until Christian came to the rescue. He offered to drive us to the beach; he drove us to the supermarket and on our last night drove our family to a restaurant and collected us again in the evening! As Europcar could not even source a taxi to get us back to the airport, Christian sourced this too. He effectively rescued the last 2 days of our holiday - thank you!
I would recommend this propertywithout reservation.

We spent 2 glorious weeks in this idyllic villa very close to the beaches yet in its own secluded spot with views over the hills and beyond.
The villa is perfect for a family with many attractions nearby but great to get away from the hustle and bustle and escape to sit next to the pool when the coast gets busier. The villa was clean and well equipped like a true home and the owner, Christian kept the pool immaculate every day.
We will no doubt visit again and would recommend it.

We stayed for a week in mid May 2011. Our first holiday abroad with children, two and four years old. Beautiful. Perfect! A delightfully furnished gorgeous villa in a small village [no facilities but everything you need v near]. Very spacious. Plenty of room. Tasteful. Good size pool with great views and fabulous for barbeques by the pool and trips to the nearby beaches which were so perfect, clear, turquiose, white sand etc.[as one expects from the Caribbean!] Only 5 minutes drive from the wonderful seaside beaches [Palombaggia, Santa Guilia, Rondinara etc] and also very close [10 minutes] to Porto Vecchio for meals, cashpoints, supermarkets, all-important ice creams! . fishmongers, coffees... Christian was polite, informative, sincere and keen to be of assistance should it be required whilst not being intrusive at all. Lovely big bath for the kids to leap in after poolside fun, double sinks in bathroom and shower rom. Comprehensive kitchen with coffee maker, dishwasher, washing machine etc to make the holiday a really delightful stay plus helpful things like a good big flatscreen tv and dvd player should the family [parents!] wish to flake out on occasion! The island is terrific. Not built up at all. Fragrant shrubs adorn the place. Blue skies. L'Ospedale nice for a venture up the hills for a look at the lake, rock climb and a picnic. Bonifacio a good day out for a boat trip, ice cream, glass of rose... We loved it! Highly recommended. The kids still say they want to go back as do we!

We had a fantastic stay at the villa ! As soon as we arrived, Christian the owner, was there to greet us and get us settled and comfortable. The villa is fantastic, we would recommend it for families with or without children, but is very safe for young children. The location is picturesque, it's settled in a very beautiful part of Corsican nature. The villa is beautifully decorated, very comfortable and functional. Christian is an amazing host and always available for support. The villa is located in Precojo, a short drive to the centre of Porto Vecchio and a 25 minute drive to Bonafacio, a great location overall. Although we lost a couple of days to rain, the remaining days were beautiful, warm and sunny. We would definitely recommend this villa and would return if we had the chance. Thanks again Christian !

We have stayed a week in the villa casa et aqua and enjoyed every day in this specious house. It is nicely furnished, (with much attenction to detail!) and equiped with all the confort you need. The private, heated swimmingpool fitted into the natural surrounding is the highlight of the garden. Also the quiet location near Porto Vecchio is a big plus. Beautiful, white sanded beaches are just a few minutes away by car.
The villa met fully our expectations. We can recommend it for relaxing holidays.

We were 14 days in this villa and it was fantastic(may 2009). Very peaceful location. Villa was excellent, spotless and well equipped for a self-catering holiday - had everything you needed. The Swimmingpool is protected with a alarm and a fence for little childeren so that they can't fall in the water.Owner visited to check we were happy and to offer suggestions for restaurants etc, which we tried and thought were excellent. We are not easily pleased................ would recommend.Full marks!
