Description from the owner

Apartment Patty is situated on the west side of Positano 300 metres from the centre and the main beach of Positano. You can reach it by a stairway, approximately 70 steps from the road and 200 steps from the beach road. It sleeps up to 6 people.

First, you enter in a double bedroom and than into the large living room and dining area with table, chairs and TV and where is situated the kitchen with a cooker, oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, wash machine, microwave. In the living room there is a sofa bed for 2 more people. From the living room you can go in to the second double bedroom with a balcony that has a beautiful view of Positano... beach and landscape. Outside the balcony there is a table and a BB. From this balcony you can also go inside the kitchen. You can reach the third bedroom, where there are 2 single beds, from the living room by a stairway and than at least you will go the best part of the apartment, the wide terrace on top of the house, with table, chairs and sun chairs. From here you can view all the landscape of Positano as a 360°cinema. In the house there are 2 bathrooms with shower, one is situated near the living room and the bedroom with the balcony and the second bath is situated near the third bedroom on the stairway. Additional Location Information

At Patty apartment you feel welcome and at home, you will stay in a peaceful and quite place.
From the little terrace you can admire the ocean and the beach of Positano that can be reached taking a stairway of about 200 steps. The dock where you can board the ferries to Capri, Amalfi, Sorrento is on the main beach “Spiaggia Grande”, 200 metres away from the house.
The nearest grocery where by everything you need for your meals is 100 metres from the house.
The nearest restaurants are 50 metres from the house.

Linens and towels are included in the rental price. Not included the electricity Euro 030 Kw/h and final cleaning.

  Don't even bother!

  We booked this apartment in the heart of Positano based on the terrace that it offered with fabulous views of the town. The terrace is the only good thing about the apartment. Communications with the owners was difficult due to their understanding of English. Full payment was required by bank wire prior to our stay, costing me extra money for using this service. The receipt I received from the owners was for 25 euro less than what I'd paid! When I asked for the actual address of the location, the owner sent a google map satellite photo - how could I tell from that?! I had to ask again for a street number, and really only found the place because it was the 2nd place we stayed in Positano.
  The apartment, also known as Casa Patty is in behind other villa rentals, so there is only one small town view from the main bedroom and that's it. As a result, it was always cold because there was no sun coming in. The kitchen was adequate, but didn't have kettle, so we had to boil water in rather old and unhealthy saucepans. I noted in the comment book that previous guests had commented on the need for a kettle and wine glasses at least 2 years prior to our stay, but this had not been actioned.
  The bed in the bedroom that my husband and I stayed in squeaked terribly, even when you just sat on the bed!
  Towels were very thin and needed updating.
  The icing on the cake was when the owner came to inspect the property prior to our departure. We had indicated that we needed to leave by 8am to walk to catch our bus, and the owner turned up at 7.30am, and proceeded to make/take 2 mobile phone calls outside, knowing that we were ready to go. To top it all off, he gave me the refund, which unfortunately I didn't count at the time, unwisely assuming that it was 120 euros as he had verbally indicated, only to find that he'd short changed me 50 euro when I finally did count the money!
  There are many more places to stay in Positano, and after staying in a B & B where we had been treated like royalty for 3 days, to come to this place was a complete and utter let down. I would never stay here again.

  Good location but no wi-fi and hidden fees

  The apartment itself is very spacious and the two downstairs bedrooms are large. Note that the terrace shown requires 3 flights of stairs to access so takes some effort to have a meal up on top due to carrying everything up to it. However, the view is lovely of the town and the sea. The kitchen had a supply of dishes, pots and such to prepare meals if desired.
  
  Cons--1--the towels were old and not very many for 3 of us staying there. Not sure how a family would cope. For this price they should be providing much better quality.
  2--Also, there were 'hidden fees' that we learned about after you book--extra fees for cleaning, electricity and they totaled over 160 euros! We found this out after sending in the full fees. They expected us to pay this in cash on our last morning before departure.
  3--More cost and poor communication by property manager---Directions to the location were never given ahead of leaving for Italy and the apartment is not directly accessible by taxi. You have to access from the road above and then hike down 75 steep stairs. This requires another 8 Euros for 'porter fees' for larger luggage, which they didn't mention at all until the day we arrived. Planning for this would have made it all easier--but due to no written communication about "how to arrive by ferry or car" just made getting there very stressful when it could be avoided with better directions ahead of time.

  We stayed at apparment Patty and it was fabulous! Great location, fantastic roof balconey. There are two big bedrooms, and one that has a single bed in it, so it comfortably sleeps 5 people. The roof balconey is fabulous, and there is another great balconey off the kitchen that attaches to one of the bedrooms that is great if it gets too hot.
  
  Piano music from the piano bar serenades you to sleep, and you have a great view of the water. It's very central.
  
  One tip: make sure that you bring the pillows from the sunloungers inside every night as there are stray cats everywhere in positano, and they will sleep (and pee) on anything you leave up there.
  
  Great restaurants in positano: Next2 and make sure that you take the boat to the restaurant along the front with the mermaid on it. There are two boats that take you to restaurants from the main jetty - pick the one with the mermaid on it. You can hang out on a sunlounger all day and the food is amazing! Fourth generation family restaurant
