186424Positano in the Spring
Left on 05/21/2012 for a stay in May 2012
Casa Corinna was our second stop in Italy ,our first week was spent in Lazio, a little north of Rome. We considered ourselves, seasoned drivers and well able to cope with the narrow streets and the forceful approach to driving that most Italians adopt when behind the wheel. However the amalfi coast with its winding roads, amazing numbers of coaches and the almost suicidal tendencies of motorcyclists left us white knuckled and fearful for the safety of the rental car. We were very grateful when our host met us on the street outside the apartment, held up traffic, offered support and advice and helped us to park safely in a snug cave under the apartment. The car stayed there for the rest of the trip! The apartment is spacious, with options to eat in or outside on the terrace. It was clean, comfortable and all that was needed for a week in Positano.
Our host was kindness itself offering us advice on how to get around (local buses are often crowded but punctual and good value, tickets can be obtained from any Tabacchi) and where to shop for food. Our favourite shop was undoubtedly Eurofruita 2000 just two hundred yards down the road where Emilio de Lucia, his father, brothers and sister couldn't do enough to help us. They offered menu suggestions, supplied free herbs and provided fantastic produce, ensuring that we ate (and drank) extremely well. We had to go up the hill, on Eurofruita's closed afternoon and were met with bored indifference from the shop keeper.
Our host also runs a ceramic shop in Positano where we able to pick up some souvenirs at very reasonable prices. She was also kind enough to arrange a meal at Restorante Scirocco in Montepertuso. A free shuttle car collected us and returned us after having a fabulous meal. Montepertuso is high up on the hillside with superb views of Positano and the sea. We were greeted on the street by the daughter of the house and led to our table. Chef Pasquale greeted us with cheerful waves from the kitchen and the owner Sig Tancredi was knowledgeable and passionate about the food and wine he served. It was all delicious.
Positano in the Spring is lovely, a little chilly at times but our stay at Casa Corinna was totally enjoyable -

The four of us (2 couples) stayed at Casa Corinna B which was rented through summerinitaly.com, a company that showed the best rate. The apartment very comfortable and the facilities were just fine. Excellent bathrooms. Having a parking spot was wonderful in such tight spaces. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you to Rosa for making it all very easy and fun. Fyi, towns like this have lots of stairs.

The owners are very friendly and helpful. Suggesting great restaurants etc. Casa Corinna is up the hill from the beach, but beautiful walk and frequent bus are available. Bus stops right outside the door. We were comfortable and used the air Conditioning. Would highly recommend Casa Corinna.

Not an issue, loved the place and am still considering spending the $ even though so big returning...

Seattle, WACasa Corinna B was the best!
Left on 06/26/2009 for a stay in September 2007
We rented the Casa for a week and all of us were sad to leave. It was the perfect site for us. Comfortable, immaculate, convenient, close enough to the center of town to walk and far enough to feel like we were in a neighborhood. The travel instructions from Summer in Italy were perfect, the land lady was most accommodating. It made our Italian vacation! We even loved watching the traffic jams from the balcony! We would rent it again in a heartbeat.
