Casa Edda is a characteristic and welcoming apartment located in the center of Positano . It sleeps four people. From Casa Edda you will enjoy a fascinating view of the main beach of Positano ( Spiaggia Grande ), of the coast and of the sea. Casa Edda is 70 square meters (750 square feet). the view from Casa Edda is 5star...by far. Loved staying there but would want new mattress...other than that loved every minute. By the end of three weeks did not need to rest to get to street level...good exercise. The owner is so wonderful...her parents live down below and they are so friendly.
Absolutely love Positano.

Casa Edda first attracted our attention because of the position above the beach and low price. We wondered why such a low price. When we arrived and Luca open the French doors to the balcony, my chin just dropped, it was such a perfect view, it was the most intense ah ha moment in the trip. We were behind the church and half way up the hill, which meant we saw above the dome, the town, beach and distant coastline. There was a little shop nearby for our home cooking and restarunts in the other direction. The only sense we could make of the price is that it may be older that some other accomodation, but we thought that added to the charm.
On the warning side, pay attention to the recycling procedures, different bags go out on different nights. On a more serious note, avoid local trains from Naples to Pompei. For 90 Euro, hire a driver. You have them for the day, they will show you the sights and deliver you safely to your door. Crowded rail stations and carrying heavy bags, leave you too exposed to theft.
Positano, Almalfi and Capri were a wonderful tonic for my pickpocketing experience, which can happen anywhere. By the time we left and headed for Tuscany, we were full of praise for Summer in Italy and Luca at Casa Eddna.

Casa Edda is the quintessential small town Italian abode. It offers a delightful view of both the town of Positano, the beach and sea.
Casa Edda is in an excellent location that is walking distance to the town, beach and main road, especially when traveling with a 2 year old.
One of our complaints had to do with some of the clutter in the interior and exterior terrace area. The very low water pressure was something we eventually got used to.
The homeowner was helpful, courteous, readily available and promptly responded to our concerns.
We hope to have the opportunity to visit Positano again and we would definitely consider Casa Edda as a residential option.
