Caledon, CanadaLoved this villa - felt like home only more luxurious

You must be able to handle steep steps to stay here - 72 from the street which is already 2/3 of the way up the mountain from the beach -but so worth it! We climbed the steps after a long day out sightseeing, shut the door and felt instantly relaxed. Loved cooking in the gourmet kitchen. The bedrooms were spacious with very comfortable beds and the bathrooms, modern. We felt as if we were part of a neighbourhood away from touristy noise and bustle and yet only a walk away from everything. The owner Laura, and her family were so helpful with restaurant tips and luggage handling. We would definitely stay here again.
We did several day trips from Positano; Capri and Ravello among the favourites. -

san joseFabulous Villa in gorgeous town!
Left on 10/01/2012 for a stay in September 2012
My wife, mom and I stayed here last month and the villa is spectacular. Pictures don't do it or the town of Positano justice. The owner Laura and her husband were extremely nice and helpful and they have actually posted English directions everywhere around the property on how to operate everything from the bathrooms to the washing machine. We would highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a dream get-away in the amalfi Coast.
Couple of caveats about the property and this is not unique to this property but the steps up (70 total) to the front door are pretty brutal. They are very steep and can be very difficult for out of shape or elderly people. My mom is 74 and we had to make 3 stops each direction for her to go up the stairs. There really is no escape from this in this town. No house is on street level as far as the entrance goes. Only hotels. But the views and the luxury of the property is well worth it. You get used to it after a couple of days and as long as you go up slow, you're fine. The other thing is the upstairs bathroom had a sewege smell coming from the pipes about half of the day. Having had traveled through most of Italy by the time we got to this villa and stayed at other luxurious homes, this seems to be a common theme in the country as their plumbing systems don't seem as advanced as ones in U.S. Nothing too bad though. -

It could not have been better! The hosts met us there when we arrived and helped arrange the parking for our car for the week, which was in a secure lot. Villa Jessica was just wonderful. The house was just beautiful and the kitchen had everything we needed to do our own cooking and the market was a quick walk up the hill. The expansive patios were lovely and we spent a lot of time on them enjoying the beautiful view.

What more can be said about this lovely villa that hasn't already been said. The views from the terrace and our bedrooms were spectacular. The villa itself was impeccably clean and very well equipped. There was nothing we needed that wasn't there. The owners, Laura and Gaetano were so welcoming and helpful. Laura's suggestions for dining were all right on the money. I don't think we had a bad meal while we were in Positano. We would come back to Villa Jessica in a heart beat and recommend this lovely place to anyone looking for a memorable stay on the amalfi coast.

Villa Jessica in Positand was a perfect place to stay on the amalfi coast ...the view was spectacular from the terrace and the other patios surrounding the villa. There was every amenity at the villa that you could want...a well appointed kitchen with dishwasher,a washer and dryer and air conditioning which we really did need in October. Each couple had their own bathroom, which was great. It was a good walk to the centre of town but that was a good thing (think pasta and wine every day for 3 weeks). The restaurants and excursions available from here were amazing. You can easily visit Capri, Sorrento and Pompei to the north as well as Praiano and Ravello to the south in a day trip.Laura and her husband and son were most helpful in every way...even carried our luggage up and down the steps to and from the villa...very gracious. We would definitely return to this villa and recommend it to our friends and family.
Summer In Italy were extremely professional and helpful throughout this rental process...I could always count on the them for advice and assistance...thank you. -

Villa Jessica is absolutely fabulous. From the moment of check-in until departure everything was wonderful. Laura (owner) is lovely and very obliging. The view is to die for and the residence is spotless and very big. Just be prepared for plenty of stairs but once at the top the view is worth it. Simply the best!!!

We spent a week at Villa Jessica at the end of May, 2011, and the place is spectacular. The views from the terraces (can't be described as one terrace; it's more like five) are amazing, the villa is spotless and roomy and tastefully appointed. Laura and Gaetano are very professional but also warm and friendly. When a shower curtain fell, they slipped in and had fixed it while we were off sightseeing. They left a plate of perfect fruit for us and gave us a couple of bottles of home-vinted wine as well. It's a great place in all ways.

It was everthing I wanted for my family. My son in law Ciro Bisori was part of the family and enjoyed it very much. The owners we very gracious hosts and gave us a discription of the area. We also loved our nieghbor. He owned a restaurant and treated us like family. The house had everything we need plenty of room, untincles, great view of the coast. We played games on the deck almost every day when we weren't traveling. We felt like this really was how I would want to live if I moved to the coast.

THE PROPERTY WAS EXACTLY WHAT WAS SHOWN AND BETTER. THE HOME WAS SPOTLESS AND WELL APPOINTED THAT MADE OUR STAY FABULOUS. THE OWNERS GREETED US AND ASSISTED THE CHECKIN PROCESS, HELP WITH LUGGAGE, MAPS, INFO ON WHERE TO SHOP, EAT AND ENJOY THE BEACH. THE LOCATION WAS GREAT WITH PERFECT VIEWS OFF THE OCEAN AND SURROUNDING TOWN.. I THINK THE BEST THING WE ENJOYED WAS FEELING LIKE WE WHERE WELCOMED GUESTS IN SOME LITTLE ITALIAN VILLAGE SHARING THEIR RELAXED LIFE OF THE RESIDENTS.

We had a great time staying at Villa Jessica - well located - great in town market - the kitchen was so nice we cooked in several times.
Restaurants at the top much more reasonably priced and the food there was awesome.
Even with all the public transportation from Rome to Positano it was relatively pain free to get there and get in contact with the owners.
Everything was just wonderful - many pictures from the deck looking over the water and lots of fun things to do.

Left on 07/03/2009 for a stay in May 2008
An extremely spacious, well appointed villa with wonderful views over the coastline of Positano. Provided you are fit enough to cope with the several hundred steps in whichever direction you go, this villa enjoys a fabulous situation and the owners were also delightful and most helpful. We were a party of four adults but the terraces were so spacious we could easily have each found a private corner (had the need arisen!). The facilities were excellent and Positano is a beautiful and friendly town, extremely well placed to explore other areas. We took a bus to Sorrento and from there visited Herculaneum and Vesuvius by train. We enjoyed a boat ride to Amalfi and walked to Ravello (and back). We would thoroughly recommend this villa and location. There were also plenty of local restaurants within walking distance.

Left on 06/17/2009 for a stay in May 2008
I have rented vacation homes all over Italy and in other European locations and Villa Jessica is one of the most beautiful and well-kept villas I've ever encountered.
First of all, everything works! We had great water pressure and plenty of hot water - somewhat rare in Italy. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen is well-equipped and the fresh and delicious local produce makes cooking a real pleasure. The owners are helpful and friendly and keep a wonderful booklet of local restaurants, markets, bus schedules, and the like in the dining area.
Even more impressive are the outside gardens and terraces. Flowers bloom everywhere and the view of the sea is unobstructed and breathtaking. We often sat on the terrace with a bottle of wine and watched the boats and ferries sail by - just a little bit of heaven!
From the villa it is easy to take day trips to Amalfi, Ravello, Pompei, Capri, and other locations along the Amalfi Coast. The bus stop is near the market above the house and, in season, ferries depart from the beach.
The only word of warning - and this is true for all of Positano - you have to be able to climb stairs or you will not enjoy this beautiful location. The closest market is 100+ steps up from the villa and the town is at the bottom of a fairly steep winding road. You will not need - or want (hairpin turns and fearless Italian drivers!) - a car.
You will not be disappointed if you choose Villa Jessica. I have no doubt that I will return here on my next trip to Positano.
