Left on 03/09/2012 for a stay in February 2012

Right from the planning stage we received excellent service and prompt responses from Ljupco at prague-stay.com.
The "Elegant apartment" was just that! Clean, light filled and well equipped right in the heart of Prague's wonderful "Old Town" precinct with easy access to transport for other parts of the City.
The best Recommendation of all ?? We would stay right there if we ever pass that way again

Lovely apartment right by the old town square

Left on 12/02/2010 for a stay in November 2010

We rented this apartment for a week in November and had a fantastic stay.
      Booking Process
We actually booked another apartment in Mala Strana but about a month before our stay Zorica emailed to advise that they were ending the contract on the apartment we had rented so they offered us the choice of 2 more expensive apartments near old town square for no additional charge. I found all aspects of the booking process (which is mainly carried out by email) friendly and efficient.

      Airport Transfer and Check In
We booked the airport transfer which was waiting for us on arrival. It was a nice people carrier which I did notice had a baby seat fitted too. The transfer back was in a standard car which arrived maybe 5 minutes after the agreed time which I thought was absolutely ok.
With the transfer service, you are then met at the apartment by someone from prague-stay to complete the check in procee. This did take maybe 20-30 minutes. We signed the contracts and made the balance payment via credit card (on an carbon paper copy machine which was a blast from the past). On the contract they ask you to leave your credit card details and sign to authorise that they can take (I think) 300 euros if there is an issue. We advised that we weren't comfortable with that and they just made a note to ask the receptionist of the building to check the room when we left. There is quite a good welcome manual with instructions on getting to the tourist attractions, but more importantly the local shop.

      Location
Location is on the corner of Jilska. You are a 1 minute walk from the old town square so if that's what you are looking for the location is fantastic. However we had originally planned to stay in Mala Strana so the location was a bit busy for us. We were there in November but we did open the windows to have a nose at various times of the day and night. I would suggest that you wouldn't be able to sleep with the windows open and, as far as I am aware, there is no air conditioning though I may be incorrect. I believe that the building also has businesses in it and there is a 24 hour concierge/reception.
There is a lift, but there are two steps into the main entrance, and outside the apartment there are is another step.

      Apartment
The apartment is lovely, beautifully decorated and impecably clean when we arrived. I haven't posted any pictures, but I have to say that the company photos are accurate (quite rare!). The kitchen is well equiped for catering from the apartment with a table for 4, although we only ate in one night. They also provide washing powder and dish washer tablets.
There was only me and my husband so we used the apartment as a 1 bedroom apartment. The layout isn't bad for using the living room as a bedroom, as although it links to the kitchen, the bathroom, living room and bedroom are all off the hallway and separated by doors.
The one thing to consider is that they do not have a shower. There is a combo shower head/tap over the bath but there is no mounting to use it as a regular shower. We got around this quite succesfully just using the shower head, but I know that some people would struggle without it.. It's a shame as if they added the mounting for the shower head it would be perfect. The bathroom is beautifully decorated and the bath is huge!
We were there for a week and so we had cleaning one day while we were there, and there was also some central heating maintenance carried out but these were all completed while we were out exploring.
We had no problems with noise from the other apartments apart from the last couple of days where I think an elephant moved into the attic apartment and we could hear everywhere they walked in the apartment.
There is also a notice on the door about not making noise after a certain time of night, which suits us perfectly but may not suit all.

Overall we had a great time and were more than happy about the apartment. I would definately rent from Prague-stay again, however I would try another area of Prague next time.

      Highly recommended.
