      Nice and peaceful!

Left on 05/20/2013 for a stay in May 2013

It is really nice apartment, very clean, well maintained, with all you may need during your stay. Good kitchen, 2 bathrooms, 3 balconies with nice view of the sea, Positano and Capri.
Actually, Praiano is very good base to explore amalfi coast. It is small and peaceful and less expensive then amalfi and Positano. Both towns are 25-30 min bus ride from Praiano. Bus stop is very close to the apartment.
Amalfi and Positano are nice but very crowded (we were on early May). It was a pleasure after a noisy day to go back to our Praiano to sit on the terrace with a glass of vine to see the sunset.
Agata, the owner, is very nice and pleasant women. Overall, great stay!

      Vacanze meravigliose

Left on 07/22/2012 for a stay in July 2012

L'appartamento è molto bello, con tutti gli ambienti che danno al mare. Praiano è un paese tranquillo ma molto vicino a Positano ed amalfi. Abbiamo passato delle vacanze fantastiche in un appartamento molto luminoso e comodo. Sicuramente torneremo!!

      Best View, wonderful apt.

Left on 07/19/2011 for a stay in May 2011

I must make one thing very clear. The amalfi Coast from Positano to Salerno is old world. Once you leave Salerno, there are villages with so much to see and so many locals. It is breath taking. Not big cities. You will step back in time.
This beautiful villa is located in the heart of Praiano along the amalfi Coast. A small village of Praiano is placed halfway between Positano and amalfi. . The views are absolutely breathtaking. You can look out over the beautiful blue Tyrrhenian Sea from every window. I just loved getting up early in the morning, watch the sun rise and looking out over the sea from the beautiful terrace, watching the ships, and yachts, and fishing boats, and the village come alive. With a hot cup of coffee
The bus stop is a very short walk and you can be in amalfi or Positano in 10-15 minutes depending on the time of day and local traffic. The buses are very simple and inexpensive. Great way to travel back and forth without the worry of parking.
There are restaurants and shopping within walking distance. The market is less than a five minute walk from the villa. You can find fresh vegetables and fruits, wine, cold cuts and meats. All of the basics. You can also have a delivery right to the villa
The villa is spectacular. It is decorated very nicely. It was also very clean and well maintained with sea blue tile floors and wonderful tiled bathrooms. A terrace and two balconies. One off each bedroom. Terrace off the living room. You can see the Tyrrhenian Sea from every window, and Positano. From the terrace you see the same, plus the mountains that are at your finger tips. On the terrace you will find a table and wickerwork armchairs
To reach the house you will have to walk along a short uphill pathway which includes 66 steps. But even with bad knees I did not mind that after the first few days. It was good for me. I just went up and down a little slower than the others.
You are a few steps away from the bus stop, shops, markets, the butcher, many restaurants
Praiano is placed halfway between Positano and amalfi. The family that owns it are great. They have two young men (sons) that were a Big help several times. Fresh linens were brought at the end of 1 st week. Beds were changed.
Any questions we had were answered when we arrived, and they were very very helpful
The furniture is lovely. Very clean and comfortable. Large dinning room table and chairs. easily seats six. Also there is a table for 4 in the kitchen. Plus you have the table and chairs on the terrace. The living room has a beautiful long sofa and chair. There is a satellite TV if you choose to catch a little news or show on BBC
Beds were very comfortable. Fresh, clean linens. There is plenty of room for all of your belongings. I could have stayed for a month and had more than enough room. So many closets, and armoires and chest. The bathrooms again were very nice and clean. Beautiful tile work and decorations. The water pressure was also very good
On covered balcony from 2 nd bedroom there is a , washing machine
Plenty of pots and pans and dishes for entertaining. Very good quality. It was fun to cook in a real Italian kitchen, sipping wine, looking out over the sea
The kitchen is spacious, and there you will find a table with chairs. It is equipped with a four-burner cooker, oven, refrigerator with freezer. We cooked several meals, even chicken and home made noodles, mashed potatoes. You have everything you need
We jumped on the bus everyday. We even took the bus to Sorrento, then train to Naples. Not to crazy about Naples. Not worth the trip. But it was fun. Naples does have awesome pizzas.. But I would not go back. Very dirty. Too big of a city. But we went to all of the villages on the coast. several times.
Amalfi has an out door market on Wednesday morning
