This rental was a perfect choice for us to relax at the end of our vacation in Italy. The views were spectacular, the apartment was spacious for the two of us. Everything was clean and neat. The kitchen was well equipped with a full sized refrigerator, stove, oven, microwave, utensils, etc. There were no supplies, such as salt, sugar, etc., but we did not expect to have anything supplied. The washing machine was a good size and worked fine. There were clothes lines outside the 2 bedrooms, but there was no inside drying rack which would have been helpful when it was too windy or rainy to hang things outside. There were 66 steps up to the apartment .

My family and I stayed in Casa Matilde the third week in July, 2011. Our hostess was gracious and she and her son helped us out on a few occasions. It fully met the needs of five adults, with two bedrooms, a spacious dining living room and cute balconies, plus aC in the bedrooms. The setting in Praiano was absolutely breathtaking. Every where you look there is beauty, including the gardens of our neighbors, willed with ripe tomatoes and lemons. At only 62 steps from the highway, it was both convenient and quiet. And it was situated with at least five wonderful hotel restaurants within easy walking distance.
Only bit of a hike was the beach, at 450 steps, but when you got there it was well worth the hike.
I consider my stay in Casa Matilde to be one of the best experie

I used Summer In Italy agency to rent my apartment Casa Matilde in Praiano. I found them to be very easy to work with and they were very helpful and responsive to all of my inquiries.
Casa Matilde is a beautiful apartment that is conveniently located in the town of Praiano. The apartment is very clean and beautifully furnished and very well equipped. The two bedrooms and the living room all have private terraces with stunning views of the ocean. The sunsets here are spectacular. Everything that is said about this apartment on the website is very accurate. The agency and owners of the apartment are all very nice and extremely accommodating.
The apartment is within an easy 8-10 minute walk to a grocery store, the post office, the tourist office where there is an aTM machine right next to it. It is also steps away from the Sita Bus Stops which takes you to Positano and the town of amalfi where you can then take the bus to other towns on the amalfi Coast like Ravello and Bomerano.
If I were to return to the amalfi Coast again, I would not hesitate to stay in Casa Matilde again and I would also recommend the apartment and Summer in Italy to friends and other travelers.
Thank you Luca, Valerie, Mrs. Agata and antonio for the most memorable stay.
? great summer vacation.

A perfect place for a summer vacation for the whole family.
Pleasantly surprised by a large area of ??the apartment, three balconies and comfortable kitchen. Very clean. Very hospitable hosts. You can combine a beach vacation with traveling to Pompeii, Naples, Caserta and of course, Vesuvius. Excellent local cuisine. Pizza, Buffalo mozzarella, white wine and fresh seafood ...Our vacation was memorable. Be sure to come again!

Amalfi in November

The apartment is thorough modern with stunning views of Positano and the
Mediterranean. There is plenty of room, storage, and laundry available. Even
in November, there were sunny days and the restaurants and hotel terraces
were open. The local citizens were friendly and helpful. Bus service, taxi
service, and hiking trails were close by. The Path of the Gods was a little hard
to find and is a little more rigorous than we expected but worth it. No autos
were needed (nor recommended). We would recommend the property and stay
again if we have an opportunity to be in the Naples area.

We stayed for a week with our 3 teenage children. enough space and a good platform for visits to the towns along the Amalfi Coast. The terrace and the balcony gave a splendid view over the sea. We even learned to like the 3-400 steps to and from the beach.
The surroundings hide a lot of beautiful walks in the coastal mountains.
