PerthEverything we hoped to find in a location came true
Left on 11/21/2012 for a stay in July 2012
From the moment we were met in Praiano to be taken to Villino Blu was a truly friendly, helpful experience. On arrival at the house the breathtaking location was more than I had hoped for.The house was fresh, clean and very charming, the deck overlooking the ocean and Praiano was amazing. The town itself had many places of interest including its beautiful history, location and was central to all the tourist spots of amalfi and Positano. The people were friendly and just walking around the town was a pleasure, also the cafes and restaurants were great. The best part was sitting on the balcony at sunset overlooking the ocean, watching the boats and the town of Praiano glow in the colours of the sun. We will return there soon.

Greenville, South CarolinaOk, with several negatives.

The location of Villino Blu was very nice. The owner was nice and also helpful.
The view from Villino Blu when standing up is beautiful, but once you either sit or lay down on either of the terraces, you lose any view because of the concrete walls instead of iron railings. The wife and children of the owner screamed at each other every day in their adjoining home. It was terrible! Because there are no window or door screens, the flies and bugs come in when you open any of the doors or windows. The air conditioners work wonderfully though, but who wants to shut up a villa and not be able to enjoy the sea breeze?
The flies were horrible and the black worms crawling on the ceiling and walls was the worst part of all. Olives are falling off the tree in the garden and no one ever came to sweep them up, so when you hang up your laundry (no dryer), you're stepping on squished old olives.
The interior is beautifully tiled, the bathrooms were the best part of the villa, and a very nice laundry room with a washer only is provided -- bring your own laundry supplies that are not provided. The beds are harder than a rock and the linens are cheap. The pillows are super flat, hard, and over-used. We were also shocked that we had to pay an extra $50 (required by anyone) for cleaning that is normally expected to be included in any hotel.
Previous renters leave left-over small necessities which was nice, but otherwise plan on bringing every necessity from toilet paper to face wash cloths, etc. -

Stayed here for two weeks with my partner and young child. The place is immaculately presented, very spacious and well appointed with all of the amenities a family would need. The owner was fantastic, and even provided some of his own children's outdoor toys to play with.
The weather was fantastic, and the views are amazing. Relaxing on either of the terraces watching the passing boats was divine. Local amenities are great with very little tourist traffic. The locals were amazing, with our best restaurant experience at the Marina del Praia at Bar Mare Petit Restaurant, a quirky and very small place with the most amazing food right on the beach.
We would return in a heartbeat. -

I was very happy with the location, facilities and hospitality received during my week stay in Villino Blu. The villa was emaculate and there was nothing we lacked or needed. The owners stay close-by and their understanding of English made communicatiing very easy. I would happily recommend Villino Blu to my friends and I look forward to returning again in the not to distant future. Oh and I forgot to mention the view - Wow!

Villino Blu gorgeous, spacious, pristinely clean with two elegant terraces, lovely garden. It was equipped with all the conveniences: washer, dryer, dishwasher, and TV.
The owner was most helpful, it is perfectly located on the coast and reasonably priced.
Top notch -

We originally booked for a week in april but had to rebook for June after the Icelandic volcano caused our flights to be cancelled. Villino Blu was exactly what we expected and hoped for. The owners were very friendly and helpful (they live right next door with their family). Villino Blu was very comfortable and beautifully decorated inside, and we settled in quickly. The day and night time views of the Mediterranean and the amalfi Coast from either of the verandas were incredible. We soon found our way around Praiano, including how to use the local and regional buses to travel along the amalfi Coast or to Sorrento, where to shop for groceries (Tutto per Tutti, just up the street), and what restaurants were best (try La Brace with it's night time view of Positano a few kilometers down the coast). Praiano is much less of a tourist mecca than Positano with no crowds or traffic jams. The residents all seem to know a little English which helped with directions or purchases. The only negative I can come up with about our stay was that the village is actually quite a distance up from the shoreline and it was a very long hike to and from the water. While staying in Praiano we visited amalfi, Sorrento, and Capri. Loved amalfi and Sorrento. Tip: when visiting Sorrento, check out the incredible view of the Bay of Naples from the veranda of the Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria. Was disappointed with Capri as it was very crowded with tourists. In summary, we would love to return to Villino Blue some day.

This property is amazing. We were 3 adults and there was plenty of space for us all. The views from the two Terraces was breath-taking, the service from the owners was great and the little shop up the road had all the provisions you need for a stay. We caught the Sita bus to Positano and to Amalfi, buy the tickets at the Tabacci before you get on. There were many good quality Restaurants within walking distance of the apartment. We dream about returning there one day.

Summer in Italy does PERFECT job for people who wants to travel and enjoy it!
The service is excellent in every way.The villa Villino Blu we stayed a week in was a perfect place as well as the beautiful village Praiano!
I think that all the villas that Summer in Italy offers are just perfect, because the pictures they show of Villino Blu at their website are just real and the villa looked even more impressive (if possible)in reality than on their website!
The owner met us in person and was very kind and helpful!
Our family can recommend the villa and Summer in Italy for every one and especially for demanding travellers!:) -

Plantsville, CT.A pleasurable Experience!!!
Left on 06/26/2009 for a stay in September 2006
Christine and I found Villino Blu to be everything we expected. Not only beautiful, everlooking the Med., but the people around us were very pleasant and accomodating. Suggest learning to use the bus to get to see the sights. Driving yourself can be a bit hectic and parking comes at very high premium. The house is beautiful with Air Conditioning in every room. Nothing like sitting out on the terrace early in the AM watching the sun come up and eating and good piece of Italian cheese and bread followed by a good glass of Italian wine!!! You got to love it!!!! Christine and Nino Maccagnan, Plantsville, Ct.

Left on 06/23/2009 for a stay in June 2008
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villino Blu and having a parking space is a bonus. It's an excellent villa in a beautiful setting, with stunning views of the ocean from the terraces. The villa is spotless and has everything you could wish for, including two spacious bathrooms, a fully equipped laundry and kitchen and there's also a barbecue on the terrace.
The owners are a lovely couple who are very friendly, helpful and make you feel welcome. When you arrive, they show you around the villa and explain how everything works and are nearby if you ever need assistance.
We loved Praiano with it's nice restaurants, quaint shops and the great guys who run the supermarket at the top of the hill. As it's all uphill it's pretty heavy on the legs so some people may prefer to drive around especially when visiting the beach.
We highly recommend Villino Blu and there's nothing nicer than sitting on the terrace with a glass of wine looking out over the beautiful ocean at sunset.
The service provided by Summer in Italy was excellent. Booking with them was so easy, they were very helpful and any queries we had were answered by them immediately.

Left on 06/18/2009 for a stay in May 2006
We had an amazing vacation in Praiano. The villa overlooking the ocean was just breathtaking. And the sun was so bright. We loved wandering down the steep stone stairs through the fishing village to the hidden beaches and fishing boats, all the amazing neighborhood restaurants were welcoming and ended every meal with complimentary lemoncella, walking to the little markets for fresh veggies and great wine, shopping in the ceramic shops and watching the artists paint.... It was a once in a lifetime experience. All positive!

Left on 06/17/2009 for a stay in September 2007
Landlords were very helpful and friendly. The unit was spotless and had a very well equipped kitchen and the best view you can imagine from your two private terraces. Located close to the bus stop, grocery stores and a pleasant walk (uphill on the way back) into the main village for dinner. This spot felt like a truly Italian experience as it was the only rental unit around. The availability to have a place to park your car was incredible but by far the best was the beautiful terraces after a long day of sightseeing.

Left on 06/17/2009 for a stay in September 2008
We rented Villino Blu in September 08 as we were getting married in Praiano. The apartment is small and perfectly formed, situated just a short walk to the village of Praiano. It is also fantastic for the buses going along the amalfi coast and to and from Sorrento.
The apartment has all amenities you could need with a small kitchen upstairs and beautiful bedroom, shower room and utility room downstairs. There is also a small guest room downstairs. But the main attraction of this cute little apartment is the glorious veranda areas (there are 2).
The landlord and his beautiful wife were incredibly helpful and kind(even leaving work to drop off our passports when we realised we needed them at the registry office).
Highly recommend this apartment and the beautiful village of Praiano.
