Villa Luminosa is a characteristic one-story independent house built on the sloping cliff in front of the sea. It sleeps five people. From Villa Luminosa you will enjoy a charming view of the sea and of the coast, from Positano to the island of Capri . Villa Luminosa is 90 square meters (970 square feet). It features a wide private terrace with a view of the sea, a private garden, air conditioning (please read description below to check in which rooms the units are installed), winter heating and WI-FI Internet access.

You will be in a pedestrian precinct, in the seventeenth-century historic center of Praiano , where you will find restau...rants, the shops and the stop for the SITA bus and for the local bus. You will find the closest beach (Spiaggia della Gavitella ) at 300 meters (approximately 990 feet) including 350 stairway steps. You will reach Villa Luminosa along a 50-meters (165-feet) public walkway that includes approximately 20 stairway steps.

You will not need a car to stay at Villa Luminosa. If you do have one, you will be able to park it along the public roads (the actual distance might vary depending on the availability of parking spaces) or in a public parking lot (being the lot a public one, parking spaces can not be reserved).

The first terrace is 90 square meters (970 square feet) large. It is partly shaded by lemon and grapevine pergolas. It is equipped with a table, chairs and sun loungers. From the terrace you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the sea.

The second terrace is 15 square meters (160 square feet) large. It is equipped with deck chairs. From the terrace you will enjoy a fascinating view of the sea.

The garden is 100 square meters (1076 square feet) large. It is partly shaded by trees. From the garden you will enjoy a view of the sea.

The furnishings of the living room are cozy and comfortable. The furnishings include a sofa and two armchairs. There is a nice fireplace made of bricks. The dining table can accommodate five guests. In this room you will find a satellite television, a DVD player and a CD player with FM radio. From the living room you will be able to enter a terrace with a view of the sea and of Positano through a French door. The room is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.

The kitchen is equipped with a four-burner gas cooker, an electric oven, a refrigerator with freezer, an Italian-style coffee-maker and a toaster. There is a table to seat five guests. The kitchen has a window with a view of the sea.

You will be able to enter the first bedroom from the corridor. It has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/62 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). From the bedroom you will be able to enter a terrace through a French door. The bedroom is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.

You will be able to enter the second bedroom from the corridor. It has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/62 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). From the bedroom you will be able to enter a terrace through a French door.

You will be able to enter the third bedroom from the corridor. It has a twin bed (80 cm/32 inches). The room has a window with a view of the sea and of the coastline. This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, equipped with a washbasin and a toilet.

The bathroom is spacious and equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, a bathtub with fixed shower head and a hairdryer. You will be able to enter the bathroom from the living room and from the entrance hall.

  We went with our 3 teenage boys, in the height of the summer. We knew the villa was going to be a little rustic from the photo's and we were looking forward to enjoying living in a typical amalphi home. This villa is amazing we loved it, it felt so homely, it was cool with all the shutters and the air con worked really well, the little kitchen was lovely to prepare breakfast and look out the little window over the sea. We ate on the roof terrace most mornings and evenings, the lighting was good and it was so beautiful looking across at Positana at night. The villa is just down from the church square and the bell chimes ring every 15 minutes, heavenly sound, not at all annoying.You can not hear them at night inside.
  There was a spectacular firework display at the church square, and we lay on the sunbeds looking up at the amazing show, 1st class seats ! Pierre Lugi caretaker was very friendly and helpful and helped us get our car parked, which is not easy in Priano! There is a number of shops in the street above the church square and the fruit and vegtables are amazingly cheap and fresh.The wine was 6 euros for 3 litres, and no hang over involved as it's organic and no preservatives, it's also delicious. Lots of resturants to choose from. The beach has about 400 steps down, it is graded well, and worth the trek. Amalphi coast line is not for the faint hearted when driving but we soon got used to it and visited Positana, Amalphi, Pompeii ( a must) and vesuvius.
  The villa has WiiFi a must for teenagers!
  If we go back to amalphi we sould insist on staying in Priano and would definately stay at Luminosa again! we would look to book via the following website as they looked after us well. www.summerinitaly.com
