Villa Micana is a charming ancient house which faces the sun and the sea. It sleeps five people. From Villa Micana you will enjoy a wonderful view of the sea and of the coast of Amalfi . Villa Micana is 100 square meters (1076 square feet). It features a nice private terrace with a view of the sea, a private garden, air conditioning (please read description below to check in which rooms the units are installed) and winter heating.

You will be in a pedestrian precinct, in the seventeenth-century historic center of Praiano , approximately 100 meters (330 feet) from a grocery store and the stop for the local bus. You will find a number of... restaurants at 1 km (roughly 1100 yards) and the closest beach at 1.5 km (roughly 1 mile). You will reach Villa Micana from the parking area going up a 100-meters (330-feet) public walkway that includes approximately 66 stairway steps.

You will not need a car to stay at Villa Micana. If you do have one, you will be able to park it along the public roads (the actual distance might vary depending on the availability of parking spaces).

The terrace is 100 square meters (1076 square feet) large. It is partly shaded by a porch. It is equipped with a table, chairs and sun loungers. Here you will also find a barbecue. From the terrace you will enjoy a charming view of the sea and of the coast of Amalfi.

The garden is 200 square meters (2150 square feet) large. You will be able to reach it from the patio. From the garden you will enjoy an enchanting view of the sea.

The ceiling of the living room is high and vaulted. The furnishings are elegant and refined, and include some antique pieces. The furnishings include a divan bed for one guest. In this room you will find a satellite television. From the living room you will be able to enter a small terrace with a view of the sea and of the coast of Amalfi through a French door. The room is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.

The kitchen is equipped with a four-burner gas cooker, an electric oven, a large refrigerator with freezer, a dishwasher and an Italian-style coffee-maker. Here you will also find a washing machine, an iron and an ironing board. There is a table to seat six guests. From the kitchen a French door will take you to the patio and the garden with a view of the sea. The room has an arched window with a view of the sea.

You will be able to enter the first bedroom from the corridor. The ceiling is high and vaulted. The furnishings are elegant and refined, and include some antique pieces. The room has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/62 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). From the bedroom you will be able to enter a small terrace with a view of the sea through a French door. The bedroom is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.

You will be able to enter the second bedroom from the corridor. The ceiling is high and vaulted. The furnishings are elegant and bright, and include some antique pieces. The room has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/62 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). From the bedroom you will be able to enter a small terrace with a view of the sea and of the coastline through a French door. The bedroom is equipped with an air conditioning unit.

The first bathroom is made of lucid majolica tiles and marble and equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, a hydromassage shower and a hairdryer. You will be able to enter the bathroom from the corridor.

The second bathroom is made of lucid majolica tiles and marble and equipped with a washbasin, a toilet and a hairdryer. You will be able to enter the bathroom from the corridor.

  A 100% amazing place.

  The owners were exceptionally warm, and helpful ... even when we missed a connection in Rome and didn't arrive until 22:00. (The drive from Naples airport is about 90 minutes . . . if you don't get lost.)
  Summer in Italy, the rental agent, was amazing ... we asked a million questions ... "Are there ice trays?" "Where do we shop?" "Is the a pepper mill?," etc., which were always responded to immediately. They are a totally trustworthy, service-oriented, firm.
  The Micana Terrace: This is the centerpiece of the property. It is huge and functions well in sunshine or rain. If you love living outdoors, this it is it. The terrace was great for sun bathing, cocktails, naps or cooking.
  About the house: All rooms have great views. Both bedrooms are identical in quality.
  The bathrooms are both excellent, though the over-the-sink lighting was too weak to allow for make-up application (had to move to the balcony for that!).
  The kitchen was very well equipped (we came to love the Moka coffee maker, though there is also an American-style machine.)
  There is a TV, but except for the BBC, you need to be fluent in Italian to use it. The WiFi worked perfectly.
  There are 76 steps to get to Micana from the parking or bus stop. So a bit of "Stairmaster" work prior to going will make it easier.
  The parking (costs extra) is in a secure, covered, lot close by.
  About Praiano: It is truly a village. We went to Tutto per Tutti ("everything for everyone"), the local store.
  Micana is directly above the large piazza in front of the church where the townspeople gather to talk and the children to play soccer. Just listening to the sounds of families enjoying themselves while having a glass of wine was spectacular. You don't get that everywhere.
  The church has bells. And they ring around the clock. But, we found them lovely and they never bothered at all.
  Though buses are frequent, we were very happy we had a car. It gives you flexibility that buses can't easily provide.
