Villa Demetra is a bright and cheerful two-story villa built sheer above the sea. It sleeps eight people. From Villa Demetra you will enjoy a fascinating view of the sea and of the island of Capri and of Praiano . Villa Demetra is 200 square meters (2150 square feet). It features nice private terraces with a view of the sea, a private garden, air conditioning (please read description below to check in which rooms the units are installed), winter heating and WI-FI Internet access.
You will be roughly 800 meters (half a mile) from Praiano, where you will find shops and public transportation. You will find the closest restaurant at 500 met...ers (550 yards), the stop for the local bus and the SITA bus at 200 meters (660 feet) and the closest beach at 3 km (roughly 1.86 miles). You will reach Villa Demetra from the parking area going down approximately 130 stairway steps.
You will not need a car to stay at Villa Demetra. If you do have one, you will be able to park it at approximately 200 meters (220 yards), free of charge in a reserved parking space.
The garden is 50 square meters (540 square feet) large. It is partly shaded by a perfumed lemon pergola. You will be able to reach it from the main terrace going down 15 steps. It is equipped with a table and chairs. Here you will also find a wood-fired pizza oven. From the garden you will enjoy a charming view of the sea.
The first terrace is 100 square meters (1076 square feet) large. It is partly shaded by a pergola and by perfumed citrus trees. It is equipped with a table, chairs and sun loungers. From the terrace you will enjoy a gorgeous view of the sea and of Praiano.
The second terrace is 30 square meters (320 square feet) large. You will be able to enter it from the study. It is equipped with a table, chairs, a sun umbrella and a sun lounger. From the terrace you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the sea and of the coast, from Positano to the island of Capri .
At Villa Demetra you will find a fitness room equipped with a treadmill, a home gym and a fitness bench.
The furnishings of the study include a sofa , an armchair and a desk. In this room you will find a television. From the study you will be able to enter the second terrace with a view of the sea through a French door.
You will be able to enter the first bedroom from the corridor. The furnishings are bright and cheerful. The room has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/62 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). From the bedroom you will be able to enter the first and the second terrace with a broad view of the sea and of the valley below through a French door. The bedroom is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.
You will be able to enter the second bedroom from the corridor. The furnishings are comfortable. It has two twin beds (80 cm/32 inches). The room has a high window.
You will be able to enter the third bedroom from the corridor. It has a twin bed (80 cm/32 inches). The room has a window with a view of the sea.
The first bathroom is tiled with lucid handmade majolica tiles and equipped with a washbasin, a toilet and a fully enclosed shower. You will be able to enter the bathroom from the corridor.
The second bathroom is tiled with lucid handmade majolica tiles and equipped with a washbasin, a toilet and a Jacuzzi bathtub with shower wand. You will be able to enter the bathroom from the corridor.
The third terrace is 30 square meters (320 square feet) large. You will be able to enter it from the living room and from the kitchen. It is partly shaded by a porch made of stone. It is equipped with a table and chairs. Here you will find also a washing machine at your disposal. From the terrace you will enjoy a pleasant view of the sea.
The living room is paved with original terracotta tiles. The furnishings are modern and welcoming. The furnishings include three armchairs and a divan bed for one guest. There is a nice fireplace decorated with age-old majolica tiles. In this room you will find a satellite television. From the living room you will be able to enter the third terrace with a view of the sea through a French door. The room has a large panoramic arched window with a view of the sea.
The kitchen is spacious and comfortable, equipped with a four-burner gas cooker, an electric oven, a refrigerator with freezer, a dishwasher, an Italian-style coffee-maker, an American-style coffee-maker (bring your filters!) and other small appliances. There is a table to seat eight guests. From the kitchen a French door will take you to the third terrace with a view of the sea and of the coastline. The room has a large panoramic arched window with a view of the sea.
You will be able to enter the fourth bedroom from the corridor. The floor is paved with handmade majolica tiles, in the characteristic style of the Amalfi Coast . The furnishings are romantic and elegant. The room has a matrimonial bed (160 cm/62 inches, wider than a queen-size bed). In the bedroom there is a cooking area. The kitchenette is equipped with a two-burner gas cooker. From the bedroom you will be able to enter the garden with a view of the sea and of the coastline through a French door. The room has a window with a view of the greenery. The bedroom is equipped with an air conditioning/heating unit.
The third bathroom is tiled with lucid handmade majolica tiles and equipped with a washbasin, a toilet, a hydromassage sauna shower and a hairdryer. You will be able to enter the bathroom from the corridor.
The half-bath is equipped with a washbasin and a toilet. You will be able to enter it from the living room.

We had a wonderful time at Villa Demetra. The villa was well furnished and had breathtaking views. Grandpa Isadoro was extremely kind and helpful. The town of Praiano was quiet and allowed us to get a real sense of how Italians really live. We also enjoyed being in between Positano and amalfi, both of which we visited multiple times.
