One of a kind, the Villa Tramonto Isola dei Galli ( or "Isola Li Galli") is situated in a panoramic position of rare beauty. Extremely refined and accurated in every detail, the villa overlooks one of the most evocative segments of the Amalfi Coast.

Besides the enchanting spectacle of the sea, along the horizon, you can see the Faraglioni of Capri and the islands "Li Galli", legendary residence of Rudolph Nureyev one of the greatest male ballet dancers of the 20th century, and many choreographers.

The sunset view from the large terrace takes in the 3 major tourist attractions of the Amalfi Coast; Positano, Capri and Nureyev's secr...et little island. Equipped with a private swimming pool framed in a lovely garden, Villa Tramonto Isola dei Galli is the ideal spot to enjoy the best day or night of the spellbinding nature of the Amalfi Coast.

The villa boasts antique furnishings and is rich in architectural details giving it the typical charm of all large homes of its kind. It is equipped with every modern convenience (dishwasher, washing-machine, cable T.V., telephone and air conditioning), there are 3 double bedrooms and one bedroom with a single bed; 3 bathrooms, one with Jacuzzi tub, one with sauna and one with shower.

The living area is connected to a fully-equipped kitchen devised as an open space with a formal dining area. A private chef is available on request to prepare local specialities or continental breakfasts. Groceries can be house delivered from local stores.

The town has ATM services, a first-aid station and a chemist's shop. Villa Tramonto Isola dei Galli can be reached from the main road and there are 3 parking spots for guests.

For those who prefer public transport, the SITA bus connecting to Sorrento, Amalfi, Ravello, Salerno and the orange bus connecting to Positano and the beach, stop a few steps from the villa.

From Sorrento it is a short day trip to Pompei, Ercolano and the national park of Vesuvio, home of the most famous volcano in the world.

The celebrated archaeological site in Paestum is easily reached from Salerno. The islands of the Gulf (Capri, Ischia) are easily accessible from the ports at Amalfi or Positano.

It is possible to rent a private water-taxi or organize excursions on traditional "gozzi" (typical boats of the area).

Restaurants and clubs, as well as a beach and diving centre, await at the fishing village "La Praia", easily reachable by the "Orange Bus".

Additional Location Information

Designated ‘the heart of the Amalfi Coast', Praiano is one of the most tranquil towns of the Amalfi Coast. Strategically, it is in an absolutely magnificent location for tourism.

From Praiano, it is easy to reach the most renowned locations of the entire Coast without the usual problems of the more famous tourist sites of the area.
Geographically, the town overlooks the sea and one of the most beautiful vistas in the world.

Set in luxurious Mediterranean bush, dotted with classic local hanging gardens and clinging to the Gulf of Salerno, the town overlooks vistas of promontories, paths and trekking trails that take in, in a single glance, the Faraglioni rocks of Capri, the spectacle of the town of Positano and locations such as Furore, famous for its wines and Agerola, known for its dairy products which overlook Praiano from the mountains and overhanging rocks.

As far as history, tradition and culture are concerned, Praiano can hold its own with any other town in the area.

It is the seat of an important annual folk music festival, several important and well known cultural manifestations; for example, La Luminaria di San Domenico (a festival of lights).

  My wife and 10 year old son joined me for a 10 day rental here. It's really a home, with an elegant Italian historical aesthetic. The furniture is rich and solid, and there are many beautiful small items and accessories that provide detail and specificity. The kitchen is well appointed and a real joy to cook in. The views are unobstructed and spectacular, and the home is up high enough to be very quiet. It is quite large, with many indoor outdoor spaces. Two of the bedrooms are full bedrooms with shared bath. Another is a loft over the living room which is spacious but everyone needs to be in bed to sleep there. The last is a twin with it's own toilet and shower, good for a child or perhaps a grandparent.
  
  One Caveat: rent from the owner, not Costa Divina. Costa Divina provided us with additional services which were a complete ripoff and poorly planned. Then they vanished when we complained. They did not answer correspondence for days even after repeated reminders during pre-visit planning.
  
  You will also need to bring the security deposit in cash at the time of your arrival.
