ukStunning setting, stylish accommodation
Left on 04/24/2013 for a stay in April 2013
Can only agree with other reviewers.
The villa's setting is breath-taking and even surpassed the very high expectations we had as a result of the photos on here. The views from the terrace of the limestone peaks are wonderful and if you are a nature lover the garden and surrounding area is abound with a huge variety of birds, butterflies and reptiles. Would also add that the kitchen equipment is of an extremely high spec which made self catering all the more fun.
Although you feel that you are in the middle of nowhere the beach and very scenic beach road with it's various eateries and stores is under a kilometre away. We hired mopeds, they are handy for popping out to the local shops or to the restaurants to get a takeaway and the beach road is quiet and safe.
We had a fantastic 2 week stay - the villa is highly recommended if you like getting away from it all but still enjoy a bit of style and comfort. -

Left on 03/08/2013 for a stay in February 2013
This was our second year in a row at Mountain Breeze and once again we spent two wonderful weeks there with our children with the days just floating by. Sitting alone in a wide open valley, with the limestone peaks in front, it is easy to feel as if you are miles from anywhere but the beach is just 500m away and there are a few local shops and restaurants nearby that met our immediate daily needs. The local people are very friendly and we got to know many of them as we rode bicycles everywhere, including down to the main beach area (small resorts, bars, convenience store, restaurants) and the open markets about 5kms away along the beach road. The villa is a delight, perfect for 4-5, open and cool and there is absolutely no need for air-conditioning even during the 33C days! This is a place that is perfect for those visitors who want to listen to the wide variety of birds, watch fireflies, stars and sunsets and be not far away from the comforts of a holiday but far away enough! We will be back again next year and that is a major recommendation because I usually do not return to places I have vacationed at before...

I had an excellent holiday at Mountain Breeze Villa with my two friends. Sam Roi Yot is a very nice, laid back area with serene beaches were you can be all by yourself. The views from the Villa itself are amazing and the setting very natural and peaceful. We spent time at the Villa enjoying bathing in the outdoor bathtub, which has a nice view to the green hills.
There are some really god seafood restaurants by the Sam Roi Yot beach; especially Jim Daeng located right to the left when reaching the beach from the Villa.
I would recommend Mountain Breeze Villa to anyone that want to relax comfortably in a very scenic natural setting. -

I and my husband enjoyed a 4 nights stay at Mountain Breeze in Sam Roi Yod. The most wonderful thing about staying here is the location. The villa is well located in the beautiful nature which is quiet and relaxing throughout the day.
The villa is located with only a few short minutes away by car or motorbike to the beach and good restaurants but away from the busy streets.
The property manager also provided us with excellent services and where to go/eat/shop recommendation throughout outstay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Mountain Breeze and would highly recommended it to friends and family who are looking for a nice place to enjoy their time in the nature. -

The service we experienced at Mountain Breeze villa was wonderful. Owner Stefan responded quickly and thoroughly to any of our questions about the property or the surrounding area. We felt very much taken care of.
This villa is a great choice if you want to really get away from it all. It's in a gorgeous, remote setting. Though there is no aircon it's well-ventilated with fans and it cools down at night very nicely. It's comfortable and really very scenic. We enjoyed the views from the outdoor shower!
In order to enjoy this property we thought it was essential to have a vehicle. We rented a motor bike so we could get to the beach and the restaurants on the beach road. We had wanted bikes but as it turned out a motorbike was a better choice, especially to get to the Sam Roi Yot national park. The first night we organized a private chef through Stefan and the local lady who cooked for us prepared a delicious meal. I recommend this to avoid having to go out before you know the area. It's dark at night so better to figure out where things are in the day. -

Service is very good.
I like the architectural structure of the villa. Cause without air-condition inside the villa is quiet cold to stay.
And I just fall in love with the location of the villa. I just got what I intend to get from my tour to Thailand. A cool and sound atmosphere to get relax and enjoy the nature.
but dont forget to keep close the mosquito nets to get rid of mosquitoes at the evening time.

I spent 2 nights and 3 days at Mountain Breeze Villa and I had such a great time and an unforgettable experience.
The villa is amazing and the location is absolutely extraordinary. The house is surrounded by mountains and it's very private. Very peaceful.
While my boyfriend enjoyed going out to do some outdoor physical activities, I just loved staying in the villa - reading, do some writing, taking a walk, taking a nice outdoor shower and sitting at the veranda enjoying the amazing view.
Not only this place is great for a vacation, it also serves as a great private writer's cabin.
Oh, and a perfect place for a honeymoon.

Serene and sedative environment with the beauty of nature just around the corner. Its the perfect place to get away from the hassle of everyday life, for a week or for a month. Also very helpful and amicable owners with lots of interesting tips on what to do and see in the surrounding area. Five star recommendation.

It was a great pleasure to spend two weeks at Mountain Breeze with my wife and two children, aged 18 months and 5. The location is perfect, surrounded on all sides by jagged limestone mountains yet just a short bike ride to the beach and the sounds of birds and cool breeze are constant companions.
We loved the openness of the home, the light, the coolness and the simplicity and that even at the hottest part of the day air conditioning was unnecessary thanks to the ceiling fans and the breeze blowing through the house.
My children quickly made friends with the housekeeper's children and their puppies and were always playing outside or sharing time with us or at the housekeeper's little house next door.
We soon got to know a number of the local people and enjoyed going to the market and riding along the beach on our rented bicycles everyday. Although the house is all by itself, which we loved since the whole valley was like a beautiful picture in front of us, it is very near the beach which has a number of restaurants and shops along its six km. stretch so we were cut off but not out of touch!
The manager, Oi, was very sensitive and helpful and the children really enjoyed her kind and soft presence.
I would highly recommend Mountain Breeze to any families or couples that enjoy comfortable simplicity and nature at her most sublime.
Thank you!

I'm really happy with my stay at villa mountain breeze. The house was very comfy, and the surroundings spectacular. It's a true joy to open the door in the early morning, greeted by the mountains in the horizon. Especially if you like me is fond of beautiful nature experiences. The closest beach is good and and the protected wild life park, with it's caves, is something you must see when getting here. I would recommend renting a scooter or a bicycle, since it's the best way to have everything within reach. And remember that the mushrooms growing in the grass during raining season might be more than good fun if you eat to many.. Have a good time anyhow..! /Leonard

Left on 01/10/2012 for a stay in September 2010
After a 30 days tour of Thailand this was the perfect place to relax and recharge our batteries! The house is very compy and cosy, located in a wonderful natural environment, far different from the busy and somehow chaotic Bangkok (which is actually just two and a half hour car ride away).
We just rented the place for a few days but I would strongly reccomand longer stays. If you enjoy peace, sun and walking in the nature this home it's certainly the place to be.
Moreover, Stephan & Pui (the lovely Swedish-Thai couple that projected and supervised the construction) are definitely helpful, kind and, at the same time, very professional.
We are convinced that you won't regret you choice!

I stayed a couple of day in Hua Hin and decide to try out the place with my girlfriend. The place is great for relaxing and private (much needed for me from my chaotic everyday life), not too far from the beach and the host really made us feel comfy, one of many examples; they helped us to get a bike for look around and even lent us a phone charger which I forgot to pack with me. The house had everything we needed, there were no need for us to start the air conditioner hence they have a lot of window which gave the place good ventilation and airflow. In the evening I sat outside on the terrace with a candle and wine looking at the star, it was absolutely romantic. The place is around 1 kg to the beach, with the bikes we were there in a matter of minute.

Staying in this wonderful villa provides an ideal atmosphere in a tropical setting just in between the mountains and the beach. Waking up to the soft mountain breeze, having breakfast in the garden overlooking the mountains and enjoying your own outdoor pool makes this place a dream for those wanting to explore Thailand at it's best. I can highly recommend staying here- only minutes away from secluded beaches, local restuarants and stunning views outside the window.

Holiday visit at Villa Sam Roi Yot
I visited and spent my holiday time in Villa Sam Roi Yot during March 2010. Here I had a most pleasant time. I would say that here You can experience something enjoyable and suitable for everyone even if You have the most different demands and expectations for a holiday stay. This is a place to stay at for both the family, the young people or the little older couple or the singel.
I had my most delightful time here and I truly recommend You a stay and visit at this place.
What really attracts me is that here You are in the middle of nature with just a short distance, a stone´s throw , from luxury, different events, and party-areas.
The house is newly built and has a tasteful furnishing and interior. The house is surrounded by a delightful garden and has a lovely sight, from the windows and garden, over the famous mountains of the natural park Khao Sam Roi Yot.
When You are here You can choose to have a stay in peace and quiet in the villa and the beautiful garden. You can take a bath in the little Villa pool. Or You can choose to participate in party-life,luxurous events and Spa-treatments in the areas nearby. Of course You can do both !
During my stay I visited the famous nearby national-park Khao Sam Roi Yot.I also enjoyed a bit of the luxury at the seaside just a 15 minutes walk from the house.
I loved eating at the small local and simple "restaurants” at the seaside with a most tasteful and cheap kitchen.
I also treated myself the opportunity to have a visit at some of the very special "boutique” resorts . At those places you experience something like visiting an exhibition with different themes in design and fitting up. Often they also have home-made food and Spa-possibilities.
Of course You can enjoy your wishes for night-life events . At the same time you can take care for Your health at the famous Six Senses and Evanson Hotel.

Left on 12/07/2011 for a stay in August 2010
I was staying in Mountain Breeze Villa in august 2010 and I must say It really was a unexploited paradise! For me its very important to have very good food where ever I travell and I must say that this district really have the best seafood in Thailand. I heard from other people that the seafood in this area should be the best in Thailand and I must say it was true. Its a must to go here and try their sea food in this district. I must say its the best seafood in Thailand. I dont remember the name of my favorite restaurant beside the sea but I got the recommendation to go there from the owners of Mountain Breeze Villa so they will know what restaurant I mean. But there are so many good restaurants in that area. Its very close to many beaches and also close to a very famous cave on an island close to the villa. The island has got a very nice beach. The house is very modern and I felt at home immediately I got there and it really feels luxurious. The evening view on the porch is wonderful. The warm evening sun against the mountains nearby makes them present a warm colorful scenery. Perfect for a relaxing evening with a nice drink and good company beside. Also there are many golfcourses in the district. I can really recomend this place!!!

The house is located in a quiet area of Sam roi yot with beautiful mountain view. It is a perfect place for our family who live in noisy Bangkok. Here we can have a garden for our kid to crawl around. The big bathtub is an excellent chill out for our little daughter. They even provided the baby cot for us which was very convenient. The manager was very helpful and always received our call even if it was very late. It took us just a couple minutes to get to the beach, small shop and restaurant. Here you probably need a transportation to travel around. I really recommend this place for everyone as a family or a group of friends who want to have a private moment in a stunning surrounding.

Mountain breeze is a gorgeous little house with beautiful views of the surrounding hills. It is quiet and out of the way. You definitely need transportation if you stay here, it was much too far to walk to the market and restaurants. We rented scooters and it was perfect. The Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park was outstanding and definitely worth several days of our time. We would definitely stay here again. The manager, Oi, is fabulous and will help you with any needs.
