      Outstanding views

Left on 11/09/2012 for a stay in October 2012

Praslin is a very small island with very little to occupy the visitor. The temperature is around 30 degrees with about 100% humidity which is very uncomfortable. Add to that the insect bites, and it was not comfortable. The beaches looked pretty but there was a lot of seaweed on them.

The food shop was a bus ride away though well stocked. The shopkeepers appear to prefer euros to rupees but I would recommend changing your money as their exchange rate is unfavourable, with prices rounded up.

Buses stopped at 6pm but as there was nothing to do after dark it didn't really matter. This is not a venue for lovers of nightlife.

The villa was very comfortable apart from the lack of easy chairs - 2 deckchair type chairs was all that was on offer. The host and hostess and their children were very helpful and welcoming however.

Would I go back? No. I had cabin fever after just one week. Perhaps a hotel with a swimming pool, bar and entertainment might have made it better.

Unbeatable alternative to hotels and resorts

Left on 10/06/2012 for a stay in November 2011

Stayed there for 10 days in November 2011 and we had a great time. The house is big and spotless with daily cleaning service. It's right across the (small) road to the beach and 50 m from the bus stop with round-the-island service (including anse Lazio) running every 30 minutes. Owners are very friendly and cooked for us on several occasions, which tuned out much cheaper and hassle-free than going to the restaurant. The house has all the mod cons you're looking for. Seychelles is clearly not a cheap place to travel so renting a house is by far best value for money and this place is great.

      Qualche dubbio...

Left on 08/26/2012 for a stay in July 2012

Abbiamo alloggiato, a Mahe, presso Villas de Jardin (Port Glaud) e, a La Digue, presso Patatran Village (Anse Patate).
