Toledo, OhioOur stay in Paradise
Left on 01/20/2012 for a stay in July 2011
We so enjoyed our week in Paradise. Thank you for sharing your "Point of View”. It has been spectacular. The home was very clean, spacious, and well-appointed. It was actually my second time in Montana. We visited Glacier two years ago. That was awesome, of course, but the accommodations here + the wildlife viewing are unbeatable. It has been like waking up every day inside a painting. My eyes will be sad to wake up to the flatlands (although lush) of Toledo, Ohio. Thanks for providing such a clean, well-appointed place to rest and relax after days of fun in Yellowstone. What an area. We were thrilled to visit the park 3 different times. Our best moments were in Lamar Valley. We saw buffalo (+calves!), black bear (2) + grizzlies (2). In addition, we saw a bald eagle, elk (one with at least a 7 foot rack) antelope, mule deer, ducks, geese, and several bird species I could not identify. The park was amazing. We saw wildlife near the cabin and lots of pelicans, as well. It has been a memorable experience for us, our family dogs included. We had the time of our lives. We hope to come again! Our group of gals have stayed twice at "Point of View". We love the location, the view, the eagles, the comfort and amenties. Chico is close enough for a late dinner as well as Livingston's offerings for lunch and/or dinner. Also the kitchen has everything where one could fix all the meals without leaving this beautiful piece of paradise.
Gordon and Pat are gracious, accessible host/hostess which gives a bit of a security when planning a visit.
Whether you are new to Paradise Valley or from a nearby city, whether a family or girls' getaway or hunting/fishing, this home offers a great "point of view"! -

Our stay here was incredible. We enjoyed every moment. Every day it was an easy drive to Yellowstone and we managed to tour the entire loop with a day to spare. The natural beauty just outside the door is amazing. We felt so relaxed and comfortable. The hammock and sun porch were particularly put to good use. The view of Emigrant Peak is unforgettable. We would definitely return and spend more time just at the cabin taking it all in if we had the opportunity. Arranging the rental was very easy and the directions were excellent. We had no problems finding the house even after dark. It was the perfect spot for three adults. We each had our own space and enjoyed cooking our meals at the house. Our favorite thing about our stay was the proximity to the river and the magnificent views on three sides of the house.

Thank you so much for offering your home to those of us that love traveling. We were 4 generations here and took Grandma and Grandpa to Yellowstone Park where they honeymooned 55 years ago. We enjoyed watching the river and the eagles and the wildlife. We soaked at Chico and had dinner in their fine restaurant. Thanks again for your quality home. If we find ourselves in Paradise Valley again, we will be in touch.

You couldn't script it more perfectly. My friends arrived in MT during the late evening hours and could not see anything as they drove to Gordon's house from Bozemen. When they woke up, they walked out of the back door onto the porch and boom! The views from this house are stunning. The water, the mountains, the stars, the wildlife, you name it. Here is what my friends wrote in the guestbook as we packed up to leave "The greatest things in life are not things. Those words were foremost in our minds as we floated the pristine waters of Montana. A great time with good friends is a shared experience that we were lucky enough to have. This experience has changed our lives, and we are most grateful to have enjoyed it together. The memories will stay with us forever. We are looking forward to the next trip very much, even more than the first one. David, Fran, Chuck and Greg"

A deep appreciation for "the view room” while we watched weather move in and out and the winds howling and the river raging and the white pelicans soaring and the grasses moving to their own music. Meeting early morning Jackie next door and chatting with the many residents here - you see our family just "gathered here” with not much expectation to do much because we have this treasure who is almost 3 years old and our "Joy” was just all being together. So Chico pool and the long winding roads and finding a place where we could also have the family 2 dogs was just beyond fabulous. We had wonderful meals and lots of laughter! This place is etched in our memories now! Thank you.
