We have stayed with George and Elsabe several times now,the last being over Christmas 2011,when we took our children and grandchildren as well,we were all invited to have our Christmas Eve meal with them which was sumptuous!!!
I would not consider staying anywhere else as it is home from home for us.
We are looking forward to next stay in March 2014.

We have been staying at Karoo Lodge for the past four years during our annual winter holidays to the Karoo. Over and above the comfort and general hospitality, the main reaon why we anually return to Karoo Lodge is the peace and quite and rural surroundings that you experience there. George & Elsabe knows how to let you relax and leave you in peace and quite while also making sure if you need someting.

Lovely food + luxury in a peaceful location with friendly people

Left on 07/11/2011 for a stay in December 2009

We were greeted by the very friendly owners of Karoo Lodge. The rooms were luxurious and clean. I especially loved the the showers. The food was out of this world. After a good nights rest, thanks to air conditioning and a lovely bed, we had a good breakfast. All in all I can recommend this place to anyone.

Karoo Lodge, a Friendly Guest House in Prince albert

Left on 03/17/2011 for a stay in February 2011

After a long journey I arrived in Prince albert and had several guesthouses in my guide to consider for the night. I was lucky to choose Karoo Lodge as I immediately realized and in the morning after a long sleep in absolute tranquility and a delicious breakfast on the terrace surrounded by a wonder-ful fruit garden I decided to stay another night although I travelled on a very tight schedule. My room was very spacious and beautifully furnished, also fully equipped, including a fridge and aC. I appreciated satellite TV in my room as for the first time since I arrived in Sa I could easily update with the news. The warm welcome by the hostess made me feel comfortable and her readiness to answer all queries was so much of help. I only wished I had more time to spend in this place which I can sincerely recommend to all who travel to Prince albert.

      Dear Lara,

Thank you for the comment., appreciated.

We are busy building a new website (dot coza) where we will place photographs in the gallery section in order to display all interiors of our suites

The suites of 45 sq mtr in size, (including a Lounge and Dressing area plus a Full Bathroom with a seperate shower),in ordinary circumstances only sleep two adults but in the instance of a family we need to ensure extra bed space for children. (As it had been with you; two adults plus two children)

The sleeping arrangements are relayed to the client at the time of the enquiry.

It is entirely up to the client to accept or reject our accommodation
offer and when accepting, still be able to enjoy a luxury enviroment at a very reasonable and value for money, B&B tariff. The current photograph on the dot com website is in fact of suite no 4 (which you did occupy) without the additional beds. Furniture had to be removed in order to accommodate

Thank you again for your comments and your promise that you will recommend Karoo Lodge to your friends

      Kind regards

      Elsabe

      A special place.

Left on 03/09/2011 for a stay in February 2011

This is a true little oasis in this pretty little town, an absolute gem. George & Elsabe went the extra mile to accomodate two very tired travellers, letting us share a portion of George's amazing lamb neck, and adding a little salad and snoek pate - delicious!

We will remember our short stay at this lovely place for a long time, and will sing praises to everyone we know!
