Fantastic locationThis brand new villa arguably has one of

the best locations on Bequia - it is situated directly above the golden

sand of Princess Margaret Beach.

A Shade of Blues offers great options for families or groups of friends. The apartment has its own independent access, and can be rented together with A Shade of Blues House, which also has two double bedrooms.

Lovely pool & lovely beach location

This excellent Bequia vacation base overlooks Bequia's best beach Princess Margaret, just a stones throw fro...m the warm turquoise waters, where you can take a dip or explore some fantastic snorkeling spots. Beach towels can be provided if required.

At the villa the pool is in a central location so a relaxing dip is easy from the rooms and it is the heart of the villa. Apartment guests are welcome to use the villa pool anytime between 9am & 9pm.

Safe & Secure

A security system is in place within the villa and fully operational. The codes, instructions and local contact details are listed in the villa information book.

Jack's Beach Bar located just below the villa is great for a refreshing drink, sundowner or a quick speedboat trip into Admiralty Bay or the popular nearby Lower Bay Beach from the wooden dinghy dock.

The walk back up to the villa from the beach is short but steep and is well worth the view!

A Lovely Bequia villa rentalThis newly built villa - finished to a high standard with great colours for a calm relaxing atmosphere.

The infinity edge pool overlooking Princess Margaret offers a wonderful place to cool off. It is located on a lower level and is shared with occupants in the main house.

The main driveway to the villa is for the villa guests use, for the apartment would guests please park at the car park below and walk up the steps, for luggage and heavy items special arrangements can be made for delivery.

Kitchen and dining areas

There is one fully functioning, open plan, well equipped eat-in kitchen, which opens up right onto a shared patio.

Apartment guests can also make use of the built in BBQ facilities located by the pool (contains BBQ grill, small fridge).

2 Double bedroomsThe apartment has two bedrooms - queen bed and twin beds which have the option of king size when pushed together - each with a private bathroom, consisting of a beautiful outside shower open to the Caribbean sky and separate wc. Both rooms open out onto the west facing balcony, wonderful to enjoy the sunsets. Guests can enjoy a cooling breeze via the louvered french windows in the bedroom. There are also standing and ceiling fans in each of the bedrooms. From here there are lovely ocean views over Admiralty Bay. The apartment is privately located at the top of the building, accessible via external steps up from the pool area.

Jacks Bar Opening

From Jack's,

you can enjoy cool refreshing drinks at the beach bar in the shade - Jacks is a relatively new feature of Princess

Margaret Beach and one that has many advantages to guests renting the

nearby villas.

During the high season (1st Dec - 30th April)

Jacks is open for lunch and dinner most days with live music on Tuesday nights from around 9pm - 12 / 12.30 (reservations recommended).

During the low season (1st May - 30th November) Jacks is closed in the evenings.

No children under the age of 5

If guests prefer to eat al fresco on the beach we can easily arrange a private BBQ.

A Shade of Blues works well for large groups visiting Bequia for a

  Thoughtfully designed with delightful artistic touches. Superior beds and linen regularly changed during our fortnight's stay. Sunsets from the balcony over a bay full of constantly changing boats were a highlight. Be prepared to walk steep slopes to and from the beach.

  Nice views, disappointing beach and plenty of mosquitoes

  We stayed at this holiday rental for a week. It had all reasonable cooking facilities and was very clean. It is a very steep climb to and from the beach, Princess Margaret beach. No close restaurants, other than Jacks Bar which was overpriced and ordinary.
  
  Taxis are very necessary and we did have a good taxi driver named Julien who was patient and consistent with timings and island advice.

  Heavenly Peace

  Our 3 week stay here was ostensibly to celebrate our Silver Wedding. We followed the suggestions of other visitors to Bequia and didn't hire a car, as we would usually, but used the services of Julian, the husband of the property's housekeeper Cas.
  Cas & Julian were absolutely fantastic and even if we weren't going anywhere, we saw them both every day.
  One important thing that is missed off the info, are the number of steps, from the "lane" to the apartment. I had just had surgery to my foot and had only been off crutches for 3 days before we came away. There are 78 steps from the apartment to the lane and a further 78 to the beach, if you go down via Jack's Bar. There are no steps if you go along the lane a little and through the trees to the beach. A good way to keep fit and there are convenient placse to stop on the way up!!! A bit of a hike with a case of wine or crate of beer, though we did manage!! Ask Julian about getting the beer from the beer factory and getting wine from the Welshman, Richard.
  The Friendship Rose trips are great, we did one to Tobago Cays and one to Mustique. We also took the Fast Ferry - Jaden Sun- to Union Island, calling at Canouan & Mayreau on the way.
  The outside showers are simply wonderful.
  The terrace is a great place to watch the bay from and each morning and evening we counted the vessels in and out.
  Wi-fi works best on the terrace.
  Princess Margaret's Beach really is the best one on the island.
  We were just at the start of the season, so some places weren't up and running.
  Fernando's Hideaway was great, but booking is a must.
  Can't believe it's taken me this long to write the review!
  Would certainly go back again.
  Bequia is no good if you want "everything on a plate". It is a small island, so the produce you can buy is dictated by what is shipped in!!
