There is no view of the ocean, it is no where near the beach though you can walk to Queen's Bath in 30 minutes, both of which were advertised. The main door had blue tape around the glass windows, one drain cap in the main bathroom was not operable, the bed in the main bedroom was very lumpy. We didn't mind the possibility of ants, but the ones in the bathroom which came out by the shower the last day were dead when found that night. It made us wonder what was so lethal on the floor which we had been walking barefoot on for a week. The property was, however, spotless and well furnished. They did not publish the review when they asked for one from us.

We are so sorry you missed finding the convenient beach access at the end of the street. It only takes 7 or 8 min to get to the beach in front of Hanalei Bay Resort. (You also missed seeing your similar review on our website, it is in fact there.) We are aware of the broken main door, and are waiting for a replacement that has been ordered to arrive from the mainland. Unfortunately, many repairs cannot be completed immediately on Kauai as they can on the mainland. The ants present us with a real dilemna...do guests prefer to have live ants sharing the rental with them, or to have regular pest control so that ants that do decide to visit get killed? I don't think there's a perfect solution to that problem in the tropics where insect life is so abundant. We sincerely regret that you did not enjoy our beautiful home.

Hale Ohana was just perfect. A beautiful and comfortable house with lots of special little touches that made us feel at home. Great space inside and out. Had everything that we wanted and needed. Very clean, well maintained and well equiped. Entire neighbourhood is immaculate.
Great service and information about the house. All very straight forward.
The North Shore is beautiful and lush. Great if you want to stay in the quieter part of the island. Good amenities and local restaurants.
Loved the house in its entirety. The best things were the hot tub, garden and lots of communal space. The worst thing was the mosquitos at night. -

This condo has one of the best ocean views at the Ali'i Kai and was so incredibly comfortable. This was my fourth trip to the Hawaiian Islands and this was by far the best value accomodations I've had. With fabulous ocean views from both bedrooms and the living/kitchen area, and very upscale furnishings, you have everything you need for a very relaxing vacation. I hope to rent this unit again!
