A small complex within a short walk to the Princeville Hotel, makes this an ideal location for families. Our ground floor location means no steps (not one) from the car to the unit to the pool. No lugging up groceries, suitcases or strollers! The complex has a pool, hot tub, gas grills, covered parking, and the unit has a very spacious feel with lots of room and 9 foot ceilings. MAGIC...AL is the only way to describe the North Shore of Kauai. The mountains, lush with foliage and laced with ribbons of waterfalls flowing through them, form a backdrop for an amazing coastline. Jagged lava rock form aquamarine pools at Queen’s Bath. Yet a couple miles down the road is Hanalei Bay a long crescent all-sand beach encircled by Puff the Magic Dragon.

Kauai, the oldest of the Hawaiian islands, has the best beaches (all public), each with its own flavor. You can snorkel, swim, shell, and windsurf at Anini Beach - body surf, boogie board, surf, and kayak at Hanalei Bay - both a short drive from Emmalani Court. From November through April watch the whales frolic with their babies. During the summer, sail out of Hanalei Bay into the amazing wet caves along the Napali Coast. Princeville has two of the best golf course in the world. Tee off at the 27-hole Makai Course (which is right outside the door) and stop at the condo for a cold one on the eight fairway of the Ocean Nine; or drive five minutes to the challenging Prince Course, then enjoy any of the spa services offered at the Princeville Spa. If you prefer a more private location to relax, come back to Emmalani Court to swim in the pool, soak in the hot-tub or relax in your personal jetted tub in your own bathroom. Kauai is an outdoor lover’s paradise and Emmalani Court is the perfect home away from home.

We chose luxurious Emmalani Court because it is a small complex, very well maintained, quiet, and located within walking distance of Princeville’s fine restaurants, the best beaches, tennis, and (of course) golf. This is a first floor unit so there are no stairs to climb. The living room has floor to ceiling picture windows overlooking the 8th hole of the Makai Golf Course. The lanai has distant ocean views. Features that set Emmalani Court apart from others are its nine foot ceilings, French doors, pocket doors, and covered parking. There is a large air conditioner in the living room and both bedrooms, and ceiling fans in every room. The master bedroom has one king-size bed and the second bedroom has twin beds. There is also a queen-size air bed, with appropriate linens, for additional sleeping accommodations. The pool area is less than a minute stroll from our unit and has a sitting ledge, a hot tub, a gas grill and bathrooms. In addition to the listed amenities, we equipped our Condo with beach chairs, boogied boards, and towels for your perfect day at the beach.

Wake up early and watch the sun rise from the lanai with a fresh mug of kona coffee and some island fruit. For a special night, walk over to the Princeville Hotel, have a drink in the living room, or dinner overlooking Bali Hai and watch the sun set. Walk to dinner or drinks at the Princeville Hotel. However, you may just prefer (as I do) to shop the open markets for produce, throw some fish, steak, or chicken on the grill and have one of the most amazing meals by the pool or bring it back to your private lanai.

Additional Location Information

Located on cliffs above the Pacific, Princeville is gorgeous. Watch the cruise ships sail by, and watch whales breach in the winter. The setting sun is a magical performance each night. Walk to the beaches at the base of the cliffs or to the St. Regis Hotel for dinner or a drink. It is a lovely location.

  We stayed in unit 312 Emmalani Court for six weeks starting Nov 1 2010. We had the best trip ever and the unit met all of our needs and expectations, in fact I would have to say it exceeded our expectations. The unit is very well equipped, and we sure appreciated the beach chairs and snorkeling equipment that was left for us to enjoy.The owner was very helpful before our trip and Kauai rental company was so professional and efficient to deal with. I was a little leary as this was the first trip I had booked online, but everything went so smoothly. We loved Princeville, it was a great location, although you do need a car to really get around but we knew that ahead of time. The condo was quiet, clean and comfortable and we would stay there again if we go back. I would not hesitate to reccomend it to anyone, it would be great for family's or retiree's like us. We appreciated the monthly rental, it was what made us decide on this unit, and we were not dissapointed.We've been on a few trips since our retirement but this was the best so far,Kauai is a beautiful place and we loved this condo.

  The condo truly felt like home. We had everything we needed, even a BBQ! I don't think we could have asked for a more amazing place. I highly recommend opening up the windows and just letting the breeze from the ocean flow right in, you really are close enough to the water to get a constant flow of fresh air. This was my first time to HI and I was very impressed. Princeville didn't have an over population of tourist and large hotels which meant the beaches weren’t packed and you could really just kick back and relax. If it’s your first time you check out Hanalei which is just a quick drive from the condo and has one of my favorite beaches on the island.

  ...and that's just how my friends and I feel about Kauai. We found Pat's condo about 5 years ago and have not been able to travel anywhere else with our vacation time.
  
  We really couldn't be happier with our accommodations and the value we get at this condo. As soon as you walk into the unit you feel like you just got home. The condo itself is clean, comfortable, updated, spacious, and well organized. It also has all of those little creature comforts you always kind of wish you had on vacation (blender, dishwasher, washer/dryer, etc). The available boogie boards, sand toys, and the collection of books under the TV had me never going to the beach empty handed. A few minute walk around sunset (usually with a glass of wine) and you will witness the most beautiful sunset of your life... usually with nobody else in sight.
  
  All in all, you should seriously consider staying here if you are coming to Kauai. You won't regret it!

  We've been staying at this property for 5 years now, it's like we have our own little piece of paradise. The property is beautiful, the unit is always meticulously clean, and stocked with all the goodies we never have to pack, boogie boards, snorkel gear, beach chairs, even coolers. The location is my favorite on the island. See you next year.
