Arrington, TNGreat hosts plus Excellent accommodations = fantastic experience

We first rented from Mark & Maya a couple of years ago. Based on that experience, we couldn't wait to get back to Kauai!!! Everything you need for the vacation of a lifetime is included here.
The bedrooms, showers, great room and kitchen have all the amenities of home with one exception - most homes don't have a Pacific Ocean view from Kauai!!! The kitchen includes everything you need for cooking or grilling. In less than ten minutes, you can go to the Fish Market in Hanalei, select your ahi and return before the grill gets hot. It really is that conveniently located to everything North Shore.
From hiking to golf, you're only minutes away from the Kalalau Trail or the award winning Prince golf resort. After you arrive, be sure to stop by the local Walmart in Lihue for grocery items before departing to the North Shore area. It will save you money on basic essentials. Yes, there really is a Walmart on Kauai!
But when it comes to fresh, grilled cuisine, visit any of the local farmer's markets on the weekends and try the huli huli chicken and fresh vegetables. It is incredibly good and helps support the local farm community on the island. The local residents are awesome and can "flat out cook!"
I could go on and on about Mark and Maya's hospitality. We've been to Oahu, Maui, Hawaii and Kauai on seven different vacations. We can't wait to make it eight when we return to our favorite island again!
Mahalo Nui Loa Mark & Maya...a hui hou!!!

Beautiful, quiet, right on the cliff. Watch the sunrise from bed, the sunset from the cliff. See whales glide by, dream of living the good life right here. We will be back, and as my husband insists, we will stay here again.

Just finished a wonderful 9 day stay in this condo. Everything in the condo was as advertised. The kitchen is well equipped and the furnishings are comfortable. The overall feel is more 'home' than 'vacation property'. We especially enjoyed lazy mornings sitting on the lanai and watching the whales spout and the neighbourhood chickens go about their business. A passing golfer said it best when he jokingly asked, "Couldn't you find a better view?" Mark and Maya were pleasant to deal with and the cleaning was exemplary. Would happily stay here again.

This vacation home feels more like a permanent home than a rental. Everything one needs has been provided for. The views are exquisite, the area is extremely safe and quiet. If you like to cook, you will find everything you want in this kitchen. When you sit on the terrace, eating your breakfast while the nenes beg for your toast, it is hard to imagine wanting to be anywhere else. My only reluctance about writing this is that I plan to return for the entire month of January this year, so I wish to recommend that you rent this property, just not in January.

We are into our final few days of a 1 month vacation at Mark's Condo in Princeville and could not wait to submit our comments. This place is a gem and so is the owner. After booking with Mark I mentioned to him that our flight had been changed and that instead of staying overnight in Honolulu we could arrive late evening in Kauai. Mark offered us the extra day at no charge. He is also allowing us a late checkout as we have a late return
flight in Honolulu.
We take a 1/2 walk every morning and evening and the views are breathtaking. Weather has been great. We started our vacation on November 11 and other than a record rainfall for the first couple of days the rest of the vacation has been sunny.
Mark has contacted us a couple of times to make sure that everything was fine. Locally Caroline is near by if there is anything that is needed. Everything we needed for groceries is within driving distance. We would go to Kappaa Safeway (get a card, it takes two minutes and give you big savings) for large orders or the Costco. For smaller orders the Foodland is walking distance.
We would also recommend cocktails at 3:30 at the St. Regis. 1 mile down the road and for a $6.00 beer and free valet service you can enjoy the best view on the island. We will be back. Next time, may with my son and daughter in law.
After all there is plenty of room for four. And now back to my binoculars. The lady next door saw her first whale yesterday. The ranger at the lighthouse said that there have now been numerous spottings. There are 6 resident Moli albatross right out side the door.

My husband and I just got back from our first visit to Hawaii and I'm so glad it was on Kauai. I loved the location, very private yet not isolated. One reviewer said you can't see the ocean from the condo, I beg to differ! You don't have access because it's high on a cliff, but the view is fantastic. Very few golfers on the course while we were there and they were not a bother at all. Although there was a lot of hammering going on in a neighboring unit during the day that was annoying, we had an ideal rental (we probably should have been out having fun anyway, but it was so lovely just relaxing in the condo) I hope we can return again, I would definitely rent this unit again. Close to great grocery store with gourmet items at a reasonable price, too.
Even beach toys, ice chest, bicycle, boogie boards, towels, etc. were provided. Movies, current books, and terrific music choices were in the condo--- Next time we will stay long enough to make use of all these extras!
Thanks Maya and Mark! We had a fabulous visit.
