Rent a Greek villa on the outskirts of Prines, a tiny village on the northern side of Crete. At this Greece villa rental you'll be able to enjoy an authentic vacation, either in the privacy of your own Greek holiday villa with garden and swimming pool, or venturing out to explore the Greek countryside. A variety of beaches are only a short drive away from this private Greece villa, and you'll love trying out the food at local tavernas. If you feel the need for something more exciting than a lazy day on the beach, larger towns are nearby.
[450 m2] Although this villa is located near others, it is situated in a quiet area and offers priva...cy. Outdoors you will find a barbeque area and a circular private swimming pool [28 m2] surrounded by grass and plants. There is also private parking and a sizeable balcony on the first floor with chairs and a small table, great for sunning with a book or having a glass of wine in the evening. Although newly built in 2001, the villa is traditional in style, with stone walls both inside and out.

Ground Floor: Enter through stone arched doorways into the living room of this Greek villa, where there are couches around a fireplace and satellite TV. An open-plan kitchen is equipped with refrigerator, oven, and dishwasher next to a small dining table. The ground floor bedroom has a 160 cm queen-sized bed and an adjacent bathroom with toilet, sink, and shower.
First Floor: Upstairs you will find another bedroom with a 180 cm king-sized bed. The bathroom has toilet, sink, and bathtub with handheld showerhead. The bedroom opens out onto a balcony with chairs and a table.
This two-story traditional stone villa sits on the outskirts of Prines, a small village with a mini-market, a kafenion [cafe], and a couple of tavernas. In the neighboring village of Atsipopoulo, only 500 m away, you will find a bakery, three supermarkets, an internet cafe, and several tavernas with Greek food at local prices. You’ll also want to go into the city of Rethymnon, 7 km away, for shopping and to visit the sixteenth century Venetian Fortezza, the location of the annual Rethymnon Renaissance Festival. If you’re interested in the history of the island you may also want to step into the Historical and Folk Art Museum for a look at traditional Cretan ceramics, textiles, artifacts, jewelry, and clothing from across the centuries.
The local property representative will meet you at your arrival point in Crete and guide you to the villa. At that point [or, if your arrival time is late, the following day], the representative will answer any questions and introduce you to the spectacular island of Crete. A representative will also remain available on a 24-hour help line for any further assistance you might need.

We had trouble contacting the local property manager while we were there. Barking dogs bothered the couple we were traveling with. My wife and I were in the ground floor bedroom and did not hear the dogs..
Greece was very attractive to us. The historic sights were fantastic. Knossis was a real treat. We had a rental car and made daily tours Chania, Iraklion, Knossis. Very nice.
