The beautiful clean and white sandy beaches, the emerald color tranquil ocean, and the most hospitable locals, make a fantastic combination for a short laid back vacation or a long stay with a variety of many different activities to do as one day trip or longer to discover the history and natural beauty of the Yucatan. 15 minutes from the large Port of Progreso. It is located between the fishing village of Chelem and Chuburna but closer to Chuburna. 35 minutes from the colonial city of Merida and about 45 from the airport. The airport code is MID.

This home is located on the beach. You walk out to the front porch and the beautiful ocean takes your breath away. A very tranquil and relaxing environment.

The area is peaceful and our neighborhood is now a combination of American, British, and Canadian folks spending their winters there and some have fallen in love with it and purchased houses and now made it their retirement homes. Looking at the pictures it will show you the simplicity of the life style in this hospitable area of the beautiful Yucatan.

Our home has plenty of parking inside the enclosed back yard surrounded with the beautiful coconut trees.

Public transportation is available within 10-15 minutes walking distance to the plaza of the Port of Chuburna. Public buses, small vans, and taxis are available at reasonable prices.

Property Caretaker - He has taken care of us for 17 years. He lives 3 houses down and has a cellular phone. He will be waiting for you when you arrive and will take care of normal emergency maintenance needs. He will also look after the property whenever you plan to leave on day trips or longer. You just let him know and he will take care of it. His wife will also do laundry and cleaning for extra charge. He is honest, dependable and very nice person.

The Property Caretaker fee is a minimum of $60 per month for monthly stays, and $30 minimum per week for shorter stays. This fee is to be given to him at the end of each month for long stays and at the end of your stay for weekly stays.
