Description
Romantic flat located right in the center of Oporto (part of UNESCO World Heritage àrea) where you can walk to all the places you want to visit. Many of the city's attractions are very close to it.
Due to its important role in Porto's history, "Rua das Flores" Street has more foreign people visiting it during the day than local people. It's a place you cannot miss visiting. But why not stay on it for some days instead?
The apartment is 300 meters from Ribeira Square which offers a variety of restaurants, cafes, and bars and the well-known port wine cellars at 800 meters where you can taste our nectar of the gods.
The flat is on the second floor, carefully furnished, and features hardwood floors. This well-sized and comfortable apartment is for two people but it can handle 2 more in the living room. It has one bedroom with one queen-sized bed, a bathroom, and a living room completely furnished. The living room can be used as a room with his sofa bed. Clean bath towels, Linen, and tableware are included and the kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, stove, oven, fridge, toaster, kettle, Nespresso machine, and all you need to prepare your own meals. We can supply a travel crib at an extra cost.
The Flowerstreet54 Building was completely rebuilt in 2005 and had to keep the original architecture by the imposition of the Culture Department of Portugal to maintain its beautiful Portuguese style.
Included in the price, are sheets and bath towels, kitchen essentials, and cleaning at the end of the stay. Wireless internet is also included.
Late check-in is acceptable until 02:00 a.m. (probably self-check-in after 20:00 via Key Box). Late check-out is possible if we don't have new guests on the same day.

“A disappointment.”
I had a six night stay here. Good things first. The location is great, very central and near the railway station and Metro. The sound insulation is impressive, which it needs to be as the street is very noisy during the day with street performers and major contruction work going on opposite. In fairness the owner has installed additional heavy duty triple glazed doors to the Windows which effectively soundproof the room. The apartment itself is adequate with no frills. Eg no television. By biggest disappointment was that despite being advertised as having wifi, in reality just about the only thing you can do is email. If you want to connect to social media or do any research on Porto, all you will see is "buffering". I had to use local cafes to connect. For any practical purpose there is no wifi.

Response from the owner When we saw the title of Roger's review on our email we were curious to know the reasons. We wonder what went so wrong to have a 2 stars review. Only after some hours we arrived home and after logging in to our Tripadvisor account so see the review details and we were surprised, but we were relieved at the same time. We were able to confirm that you had a nice stay at our apartment but there were 2 issues that you mentioned with a lot of emphases. First, the lack of a television that we never mentioned in any way on our advert and second the poor internet quality. In fact, this last issue was a reality. We have internet. We pay the bills every month to have this service, so we advert it in our listing. Unfortunately, the internet service provider had technical issues during the period that Roger stayed in our apartment and he considered that this responsibility was totally our fault and the apartment advert would have to be heavily penalized with 2 stars because of this event. We are considering to change the internet provider to avoid this happens again in the future, despite the available wifi internet in all cafes, restaurants in the surroundings. Best Wishes to Roger.

A wonderful stay, nothing more, nothing less. A really charming street and neighborhood near to river Douro in Ribeira and 5 minutes from everywhere in Porto. Clean and fully equipped. Recommended.
