Description
This lovingly restored three-level house is located in the historic centre of the picturesque medieval village of Conversano, Puglia, just a 10-minute drive from the beaches of Polignano a Mare. The stone house features a large living room on the first floor and 2 bedrooms on the upper floors. It comfortably sleeps 5 people, and is elegantly furnished with clean, modern furniture. There are two bathrooms and three small balconies. Amenities include: fully equipped kitchen, washing machine,High Speed Wi-fi (60 Mb/s), TV, ironing board/iron, air conditioning, and a fireplace. Conversano, surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, is lively, sophisticated and full of festivals/events throughout summer — yet never overrun with tourists. Enjoy the daily “passeggiata” (evening stroll) in the cobblestone-paved old town streets full of shops and restaurants (gelato in hand), explore the castle and surroundings, cook with fine, fresh produce from the street markets, and take in free concerts and street performances. The town centre is pedestrian-only, which makes for wonderful walking and quiet, peaceful sleeping. This is also the perfect gateway for famous tourist destinations nearby like Ostuni, Alberobello, Martina Franca, Cisternino, Locorotondo (Valle d’Itria). All are a few miles away. The train station is just a few blocks from the house.
