Description

Get the unique experience of living in George Town, a World Heritage City! The Shophouse is a re-configured modern space in an original shophouse, furnished mostly with vintage furniture.

The third floor is an open plan space with an amazing loft and high A-shaped ceiling. "Wow" is the first thing people say when they walk in. Think of days when the family would bunk into one room and everyone "camps" out. There is one queen sized bed on the loft, with one 1hp aircon there; and three convertible sofa beds (firm) in the large living room space with two 1hp aircons. There's a simple kitchenette (electric kettle/fridge/water provided) and a roomy bathrooom.

*Not too suitable for the elderly (because of the stairs) and active young children below 10 (because of the grill-less windows).

*minimum two nights stay required. The listed price is for two, with additional costs of RM30 per extra person. The total number of people to stay on this floor is five.

**The first floor could be occupied by the host, or the ground floor could be occupied by other guests at the same time. All share a common staircase but have separate entrances.

Off one of the main roads in George Town, named after England's George III, this street is largely residential and very conveniently situated. The place is great for those who want to explore Penang's famed hawker food and heritage sites on foot. Easy bus access to other parts of the island.

*Being in George Town, do expect some street noise. At night - the noise comes mainly from an opposite hawker and people parking and walking down the street to a popular supper spot. There are motorbikes zipping by. Heavy traffic noise is minimal, but at night, you will hear people parking their cars and talking, on occasion, as they walk to the supper place.

*Not recommended for sensitive sleepers.

The best of the best foods in Penang are just within 5 mins walk: wantan mee, koay teow th'ng, bak moay, char hor fun, 24 hrs nasi kandar, kaya toast & coffee, chee cheong chok, cendul.
