Grosvenor cottage in unspoilt Herefordshire countryside. A spacious, stylishly furnished cottage with open plan living/dining room and full kitchen. First floor enormous super-king master bedroom with sofa plus a single bedroom (snore room) and bathroom. Own private courtyard garden for dining/star gazing. Use of fabulous walled garden, furnished glasshouse and parkland with specimen trees. Tour the Wye Valley and enjoy the many activities in the Forest of Dean. Child and dog friendly. EV charger and easy level parking. Great local pubs.

We welcome one dog (or two small breed) at the cost of £25.00 per stay. A dog towel, bowl, tea towel and information on dog friendly walks and venues is provided. In addition to a courtyard garden guests are welcome to walk their dog in the spacious park surrounding the property.

“The WOW Factor!”

Just returned from wonderful Grosvenor Cottage and felt motivated to write this review to encourage others to stay at this idyllic spot where you will receive the warmest of welcomes from Nicky, George and the team. Our 13th visit and Nicky amazes us with the changes she continually makes to enhance her guests' enjoyment. 5 star+ luxury now with the recent addition of a super king bed in the gorgeous bedroom and the most comfortable pillows you will ever find - just divine! Every aspect of the cottage lends itself to rest and relaxation as do the beautiful grounds. We will be back!

The cottages were very busy 2012 so in January (while we were a little quieter) we took the opportunity to renovate the bathrooms in Grosvenor and Harewood. Lovely new white suites, tongue and groove panelling, new lighting and mirrors. Will post photos on our site very soon. Don't work too hard and we hope to welcome you to Wharton Lodge again one day for a relaxing holiday in the Wye Valley... Nicky

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

If the property manager agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
