Description

This property is ideally located to visit Shakespeare's town and all the historic houses associated with that time. As you walk into the street you look onto the back garden of Shakespeare Birthplace, just a stones throw from the town centre. The town is full of fine restaurants and bars making a warm welcome before visiting the three theatres located in the town. The property once served locals as a publishing house and later as a pub. In 2007 the double fronted terrace was converted into two flats. The ground floor accommodation offers a spacious space to enjoy a break away where you can walk into the town centre. There is a well equipped modern kitchen, a light and spacious lounge with open plan dining area, two double bedrooms, family bathroom and ensuite to master. The family bathroom has both a double ended bath and a walk shower. The property was sympathetically renovated to retain some of the original features. This property is ideal for elderly and those having difficulty with stairs. The property is located on the ground floor with a single step up to the kitchen and a very small step down into the master bedroom.

Being situated in a 1900's Victorian terrace so close to town, Globe House is situated on a cobbled street where parking is restricted. We retain a parking space on a driveway a few minutes walk from the holiday cottage. There is a disabled parking bay on the street and also several disabled parking bays in the next street.

The property is set up to accomodate four guests, in addition there is a travel cot that is available to be set up in either room and an additional single bed can be put up in the second room when needed. The living space is large and there is a good sized well equipped kitchen along with a family bathroom having both a double ended bath and a separate shower cubicle.

There is a private courtyard which is accessed from the dining area, kitchen and master bedroom. The street is a cobbled street and as you step out the front door you are looking at the back garden of Shakespeare's birthplace. The walk into town is just 150 yards.

Globe House is situated 150 yards from Henley Street where you can find Shakespeares Birthplace as well as shops and cafes. The streets leads to the town centre and visitor attractions. During your stay you may not use the car unless visiting other towns. The town centre has a M&S food hall as well as a small Tesco and Sainsburys.

“Five Star Holiday Venue”

Globe House was so comfortable and clean, really 5 star accommodation for our needs. Utterly perfect location for a theatre trip. Plan to return there next year.
