Description
Luxury 5 bedroom (4 king size rooms and one quadruple) detached country cottage. Sleeps 12 comfortably. Set in rolling countryside with wonderful views of Knocklayd mountain and the River Bush. Rural but not isolated as the owner's family run beef and arable farm is only one field length away. Ideally located about 20 minutes drive from the Giants Causeway. Close to the other world famous tourist attractions such as Carrick a rede rope bridge, Dunluce Castle, Ballintoy harbour, Glenariff Waterfall Forest Park, The Dark Hedges (KINGS ROAD in GAME OF THRONES) and miles of golden beaches at Ballycastle, White Park Bay, The White rocks and Portstewart Strand. Fantastic Links (7 miles) and Parkland (1 mile) golf courses are within easy reach.
On the doorstep are 100 acres of privately owned fields. Walks can be taken through the fields to the stepping stones at the River Bush which can be crossed on foot when water levels are low. Pony trekking available at the local Sheans horse farm, Armoy. In Armoy (1 mile away) there is a gas/petrol station, grocery store, post office(foreign exchange/banking facilities), hair dressers, two public houses & atm machine. Translink bus services the road with links to railway stations and nearby towns stop on the road outside the house.
The cottage has five large bedrooms. Master bedroom is at the front of the house, has matching walnut furniture, is ensuite and has walk in wardrobe. Three other rooms have kingsize beds with matching heavy duty oak furniture. The fifth bedroom has two adult sized single beds, two pull out beds and triple wardrobes. Also upstairs is the huge family sized bathroom with free standing bath and separate large corner shower. Downstairs are two living rooms (one with wood burning stove) and box of toys for youngsters to keep themselves amused. There is a fully fitted white painted kitchen diner equipped with american fridge freezer, 5 ring electric hob & double electric oven, range style cooker, microwave oven and integrated dishwasher with tablets provided. Third wc and shower is in the downstairs wet room. A separate utility room gives unrestricted access to washing machine (washing powder provided),tumble dryer and iron/board.
Outside space comprises of a Tobermore Paved Barbeque and dining area complete with picnic table. There is ample off road parking for 3 or more cars.
Free WiFi services all areas of the house and outside space.
All in all, a great holiday home in a superb location which attracts a wide variety of holiday makers.

“Lovely house in beautiful location”
The house is lovely, spacious and well equipped. The ground floor bedroom bedroom and bathroom was ideal for our brother who has disabilities. We had a really good weekend and the surrounding countryside and coast is beautiful. Helen was great too, really responsive and helpful
