Description
Winter and summer this romantic, alpine retreat is close to the slopes but away from the town making it perfect for a relaxing holiday.
The chalet has 4 Bedrooms (3 Doubles, 1 Bunk). 2 Bathrooms and sleeps 4 - 10 people.
This modernised chalet is located high up on the side of the Chamonix valley with breathtaking views and at night the twinkling lights of Servoz village far below. A real mountain retreat with all modern conveniences but only 5 minutes drive to Les Houches ski lifts or 15 minutes to Chamonix town centre.
The chalet has UK Sky+, wireless internet throughout, LCD flat screen TV/DVD (with large DVD collection) and home sound system. There is a big balcony that stretches around the chalet and a large garden with fields and woods all around.
There is underfloor heating throughout the ground floor and an open wood fire. The kitchen is fully equipped with 2 ovens, 5 ring gas hob, dishwasher etc. Separate clothes washer and dryer, ski locker.
The owners are on site in the ground floor apartment and are available to answer any questions you may have and deal with any problems that may arise. Your hosts will also clear the snow and maintain the hot tub during your stay except in summer when they are often away. Your privacy is assured.

The chalet is located in a very peaceful and beautiful part of the chamonix valley with amazing views down the valley to Servoz and to the right the Mont Blanc Range. It is only 5 minutes drive to the ski lifts in Les Houches or a little further down to Chamonix. There are several good restaurants and bars such as Le Delice nearby in Les Houches and the views from the chalet at night are fantastic looking down on the lights in the valley. In winter the whole area is covered in snow and really is a beautiful alpine spectacle. In summer it is a fantastic spot to start the many walking trails over the mountains towards St Gervais and along to Chamonix. The chalet has a large garden all around it with a stream at the back a bbq and loungers. Surrounding the chalet are meadows covered in snow in winter and in summer you can spot deer, badgers, marmotte and birds as well as the many varieties of Alpine flowers.

“Perfect cosy chalet”
We stayed here for a week in jan 2919 ,there were two families , we had plenty of room and found it very comfortable. Spacious bedrooms with lots of storage space. Living area really nice , large sofa in front of open fire, especially liked that! And the view out the window ..... breathtaking. We used the hot tub quite a few times in the evening after hitting the slopes , again the views from the hot tub amazing, just lay watching the clouds go by ,a little slice of paradise. Lots of tv channels to choose from , board games and lots of dvds to watch on a quiet night in . My daughters now have a love for scrabble, which makes a change from a electronic device. To be honest We didn’t see that much of corin and claire but they were very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. It was a nice feeling knowing they were on hand if we needed some advice. Only concern we had initially was the road up to the chalet as it did snow whilst we were there but honestly we didn’t have a problem, we just took our time as it was our first time driving in Les Houches . I would recommend a car to get around . Ski lift literally 5 mins drive away , plenty of parking and slopes perfect for our young children . Local supermarket 10 minutes tops away . We spent a lot of time in chamonix which is only 15 minutes away , some of our favourite places there such as Le cap horn restaurant and josephine cafe , try them! If you don’t have a car it’s easy to jump on the bus . We also traveled to Courmayeur in italy one day , through the Mont Blanc tunnel it was a lot easier than we thought . It’s a beautiful town and would definitely recommend going . We had drinks at le prive a cosy little bar .... very friendly . This is our 7th time in chamonix/ Les Houches area and was as perfect as the first time. So thank you corin and claire for a lovely week , sad to go home but our children will have lovely memories of your chalet forever. The Balls and Bhardwaj’s x
