Description

Zermatt is a car-free village at the foot of the famous and magnificent Matterhorn mountain. It can be reached in around 3 1/2 hours by train from Geneva or Zurich airports where the train station is at the airport. If you are driving the car must be left in a parking in Tasch then you take the shuttle train to the centre of Zermatt village. Alternatively you can take a taxi from Tasch (they have road access as far as the entrance to the village) to the entrance to the village.Haus Gornerwald is located on the edge of a large forest less than 5 minutes on foot from the Matterhorn Express departure station to take you to the Klein Matterhorn/Matterhorn Paradise ski area and Italy. From this departure station you can also access the Sunnegga and Gornergrat ski area via Furi and Riffelberg. It is 5 minutes walk to the church, the village, shops and the Bahnhofstrasse which is the heart of Zermatt village. Haus Gornerwald is a quiet residential building with very nice restaurants and bars within walking distance.This cosy non-smoking well maintained apartment offers free WIFI, comprises 2 bedrooms (one double and one twin), a living room, kitchen equipped with large fridge, dishwasher, expresso coffee machine, fondu and raclette machines, microwave, dining area, 1 bathroom/WC and 1 shower/WC, heated ski room.

Haus Gornerwald, 63 Schluhmattstrasse, Zermatt Check-in is at 16h and check-out at 10h Because of the logistics of arriving in Zermatt, it is not always possible to arrive exactly at the desired hour.
