This terraced cottage within a hamlet location near Jedburgh sleeps two people.Kirk Cottage is a terraced property situated in the hamlet of Hownam, nine miles from Jedburgh in the Scottish Borders. This cottage sleeps two people and has a double bedroom, a bathroom, a kitchen and a sitting room with dining area and woodburning stove. Outside, there's off road parking for one car and an enclosed, side decked garden with furniture. Kirk Cottage is an ideal romantic retreat with walks, golf and lovely towns and villages in the area.
Amenities: Calor gas central heating with woodburning stove. Electric oven and 2-ring hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, TV with FreeSat, WI-FI, DVD, selection of books and games. Fuel, power and starter pack for stove inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot and highchair on request. Off road parking for 1 car. Lockable bike storage. Enclosed, side decked garden with furniture. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 4 miles.
Region: From the lush green farmlands of the Borders to the ruggedness of the Highlands, the Scots are proud of their land and identity. Scotland also has some of Britains best beaches with glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam.
Town: The hamlet of Hownam is situated close to both Jedburgh and Kelso and has a Post Office and church. There are a number of walks and golf in the area, and the towns of Jedburgh and Kelso provide a number of shops and pubs. There are other delightful towns and villages within reach, and Edinburgh and Newcastle are within driving distance.

“Very comfortable”
Excellent 1 bedroom cottage in beautiful area. I stayed in there in the hot summer of 2018 but I'm sure it would be lovely at any time of the year! Many thanks Jayne and Chris.

“Holiday week”
Had a great week at cottage, ideal base for exploring the borders, great location for dog walking, only problem could not get signal on phone! Weather was great.
