We just returned from Culebra on December 4, 2017 and the island is lush, beautiful and open for tourism. We have added a new photo of the island and bay as seen from the property on December 1st.

Come to Culebra and enjoy a cool drink on your private, breeze swept, porch which overlooks one of the most beautiful bays in the entire Caribbean. Casa Ella is only a short distance from the center of town. Enjoy the privacy of having your own house with off-street parking and landscaped grounds in a small, safe and friendly neighborhood. The spacious grounds have flowering shrubs and palm trees. A perfect island getaway.The house has two separate and very private villas. The 1 bedroom villa, shown here, is 825 sq ft with a large master bedroom (king bed), a living room, large designer bathroom, a modern kitchen, wide covered balcony and expansive sun terrace. The villa has satellite TV, outdoor gas grill, broadband internet access with wifi, indoor & outdoor showers, beach chairs, backpacks and coolers. The house has a full laundry room. Culebra is among the 'Best Secret Islands on Earth' (Travel & Leisure), has one of the '6 Caribbean Beaches to See Before You Die' (New York Times), and nearby Flamenco Beach is 'One of the Top 10 in the World' (Travel Channel). Flamenco Beach is just 6 minutes from Casa Ella by car, golf cart or scooter. Casa Ella's central location on the island is convenient to all restaurants, shops, town, ferry and airport. A few friendly watering holes in town have live music or karaoke on some nights. Restaurants range from simple island cooking to elegant gourmet dining. Small local markets and unique island gift shops provide for all your needs. A weekly open-air produce market offers an array of fresh fruit & vegetables.All you need are flip flops and sun block. Nature is a major attraction on Culebra. Endless white sandy beaches dot the island. Many are within a few minutes ride from the villa. Enjoy deserted beaches, beautiful reefs, fabulous snorkeling and diving. There are no malls, resorts or golf courses. No passport or fancy clothes required. English is spoken everywhere. To get the most from your visit, renting a car or golf cart will give you the best mobility and opportunity to explore and experience all aspects of the island.Kick back and relax.
