Set at the foot of the Mount Mirnock mountain range, and overlooking the beautiful Lake Millstatt (known as the "Jewel of Carinthia"), Haus Claxton is a modern luxury chalet-style property with three double bedrooms. The house has been designed to make the most of the breathtaking lake and mountain scenery - the large patio area is perfect for alfresco eating or just relaxing and soaking up the sunshine and incredible views. The open-plan living area offers the same outlook and provides a comfortable and sociable space for guests, with a superbly-appointed kitchen.
The three bedrooms downstairs (one with an en-suite bathroom) amply accommodate 6 guests, each with direct access to an outdoor patio area overlooking the lake.
Situated in the picturesque village of Dobriach, the house is ideally placed to explore the many attractions and activities that Carinthia has to offer, in summer and winter. The close proximity to the lake enables easy access to the wide variety of watersports available, as well as superb walking, hiking and cycling opportunities. Other sports available locally include tennis, horse-riding and climbing. There are also two golf courses within 20 minutes drive of the house.
Both locally and further afield there are many mountain roads and ranges to explore, with a wide variety of beautiful scenery, as well as picturesque and historic towns and villages, with the borders of Italy and Slovenia just 45 minutes drive away.
In the winter there are several ski resorts in the region that provide a variety of winter sport opportunities.
