Description

Welcome to our two bedroom apartment in the Costa del Sol - our home in Spain. It has an open plan kitchen with fridge freezer, four ring hob, oven, microwave, kettle, cafetiere coffee maker and toaster. The bathroom has a shower over a bath making it suitable for both families and couples. Large double-glazed sliding doors in the living room and master bedroom let in plenty of natural light from both balconies. The living room is spacious and modern, fully equipped with Smart TV, DVD player, WiFi and air conditioning which can provide cool or warm temperature as required. The Mar del Sur apartments are only 450m from the beach and the award winning Puerto Marina. There is a communal swimming pool with lifeguard on site in attractive private gardens. Guests can buy refreshments at the Temple Bar which is just a few steps outside and can bring drinks back to the pool gardens. Please note that the SWIMMING POOLS ARE ONLY OPEN from the nearest weekend to 15 JUNE until the nearest weekend to 15 SEPTEMBER.

The apartment is on the second floor of the rear block and there are two lifts serving the block. The balconies overlook a rear public car park and there can be noise from below at certain times of the day. To the left there is a glimpse of the sea from the balconies.

CHECK-IN

Check-in is from 4pm - 7pm (16:00 hrs - 19:00 hrs). On the weekends and outside of these hours guests can self check-in. More information will be provided after booking.

Due to new Spanish law guests will need to provide a copy of their passport or other valid identification. There is also a registration form to sign on arrival.

CHECK-OUT

Check out is by 10am. Contact us when booking if you need to check out later, but please note that this may not always be possible.

PARKING

Parking is free in the Mar del Sur car park. This is a private gated car park for which you will be given an electronic fob for access. Please note that it gets busy during peak months. In case there is no space there is a free public car park available on the other side which is overlooked by the apartment balconies.

AIR CONDITIONING & HEATING

The air conditioning/heating unit is operated by a timer switch in the entrance hallway. The switch will keep the air con on for up to 2 hours at a time. It is free and can be used as often as you like.

Getting around

Mar del Sur is located on Avenida Antonio Machado only 20 minutes drive from Malaga airport. This is the main road through Benalmádena and there is a Lidl supermarket less than 5 minutes walk away as well as plenty of restaurants, bars and cafes. There is also a late supermarket Komo Komo nearby. A short walk away are a bus stop and taxi rank with buses heading from the main road to Benalmádena Pueblo (village) as well as Parque de la Paloma and further down the coast. El Pinillo is the nearest station about 1.2 km away which has trains direct to Malaga airport and Malaga city centre.

Interaction with guest

I can offer advice on travel to the apartment, the local area and places to visit. I am based in the UK, but am available to contact by email at any time in English or Spanish. My property manager is local and speaks fluent English. Once the balance is paid for your trip you will be sent full details for your arrival including her telephone number. She will meet you at the apartments and hand over the keys if arrival is within office hours (Mon-Sat 10am to 2pm and Mon-Fri 4pm to 7pm) and is available to contact throughout your stay. Please note that guests can check in anytime outside of office hours via lockbox. The agency are only available during office hours unless there is an emergency.

We have just returned from a weeks stay at this apartment and would happily stay here again, it has everything we needed. I would like to say a special thank you to the owner Stephen who went out of his way to make our first holiday with our 2 year old daughter as stress free as possible, even arranging for an earlier check in for us with Helen getting the apartment ready and meeting us at an earlier time I would recommend his apartment and would hope to stay again in the future.
