Description
Rose Cottage is a pretty, traditional stone cottage with magnificent views over the picturesque Breton countryside. The gite is well furnished and comfortable. The living dining room is spacious with 2 sofas and a wood-burner to make it cosy during autumn or winter stays The modern kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for your stay. and has a TV /DVD player with english and french TV and a selection of DVDs, CDs, books and games. High chairs and a travel cot are available free.
Due to the bedrooms and bathroom being upstairs this cottage may not be suitable for persons with reduced mobility.
You can relax in your own private garden which is equipped with sunloungers, table and chairs, and BBQ for al-fresco dining while enjoying the fabulous view across the valley and down to the L'Oust river and Brest -nantes canal. In the main garden is a children's play area and a heated swimming pool open from May to September. A toddler pool can also be provided on request.
The area is ideal for hikers, cyclists, golfers and fishing enthusiasts. Bikes are available for rent to cycle along the quiet country roads and the tranquil Brent - Nantes canal, with it's own cycle route, just a few minutes away.
Nearby is the charming medieval town of Josselin with its half-timbered buidings, beautiful chateau situated on the canal, a variety of boats suitable for all levels are available to hire here.
Lac au Duc, a lovely inland lake and beach, is also nearby, watersports and golf are also available here. The south brittany beaches at Quiberon and around the Bay of Morbihan and the fantastic standing stones at Carnac are all within an hours drive as are the north coast resorts of Dinan, St Brieuc and the Rose Granite coast with its gorgeous beaches and pink boulders are just a little further on.
Covid-19 Statement
During the global pandemic we want to assure our guests that we are following all local and national advice to keep ourselves and our guests safe.
For any confirmed bookings which are cancelled due to travel restrictions we will offer a credit note for the amount paid , valid for 18 months against a future reservation.
We offer contact -free check -in and check-out with a socially distanced meet and greet.
The gite is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected between guests, paying special attention to high contact areas such as door handles, light switches, taps etc.
Anti-bacterial and disinfectant product are freely available in the gites and guests are encouraged to use them liberally to keep the space clean and healthy.
The pool is cleaned regularly and chlorine products used to kill any germs.
We encourage guests to use the pool in family groups, leaving a little time between for the chlorine to work. Disposable sanitisers will be placed near the pool ladder.
Guests do not share sunloungers and must provide their own beach towels.

“What an amazing place”
We spent the whole month of August in Rose cottage with our 3 children (5,3 & 18 months) such a relaxing place, amazing view, fabulous pool and great gite owners ( thanks Pauline and Tony). They even let our children fetch the eggs from the chicken coup if you want them fresh for your breakfast ( 1euro for 6). Other residents include Fin - a very lovely border collie and Zuzu the cat who my children adored. Great spot for running - hills and a canal which is great for training. The river is 5 minutes walk away which was fabulous for skimming stones and building dams. Perfect for a relaxing holiday in the countryside. Rohan is a lovely little village and the people friendly. Don’t miss out on this gem - we will be back for another month I’m the next couple of years.
