Escape the crowds in a luxury, re-modeled, eco-chic beachfront villa located in the stunning Sian Ka'an bio-sphere nature reserve in Tulum, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Set on a breathtaking 100 meter private beach with pristine fine white sand and warm clear turquoise Caribbean ocean (with an additional 1000 meters of privately owned unoccupied beachfront) ; amid lush tropical vegetation; and flanked to the west by the beautiful blue Campechen lagoon. The world's second largest barrier reef is just offshore.

BEDROOMS

The villa sleeps 2-12 people and boasts three spacious, master bedrooms with king size beds in each and two of the suites have an extra daybed. There is also a Maya style bunk room with 2 queens & 2 twins (usually for overflow). Each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom.

The two upper level master suites open to their own private terraces and enjoy expansive views of the Caribbean on one side and the lagoon on the other. The beach level suite opens onto the beachfront deck, just steps away from the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean.

No one draws the short straw at Casa los Pelicanos; each couple has a generous master suite to choose from.

LIVING SPACES

The house has separate areas indoors and outdoors where one can relax, read, sunbathe and dine.

Relax, curl up and read a book under the brand new adjoining INDOOR/OUTDOOR BEACH DECK LOUNGE AND DINING ROOM (with palapa roof) while listening to the ocean or watch friends light up the BBQ. Make the most of morning tranquility with a rooftop yoga or meditation session on our newly appointed YOGA DECK. Have lunch brought to you while relaxing under the GAZEBO ON THE BEACH or on the villa's NEW SUNBATHING DECK situated on a dune overlooking the ocean (great location for evening meals!). Take cover and enjoy an afternoon merienda in the NEW STANDALONE COVERED BEACH DINING PATIO. Indulge with a sunset cocktail on the ROOFTOP TERRACE with its adjoining yoga deck with 360 degree views of jungle, lagoon and Caribbean; with its wildlife such as pelicans diving into the crystal clear ocean, frigates gliding overhead, herons, egrets, manatees, sea turtles, and even an occasional spider monkey.

Uniquely, we charge differently than other villas, charging only a modest service fee service and you only pay for the actual food and drink you want. We provide all the services of an all-inclusive experience but also offer clients flexibility with with half-board, select meals, pre-stocking or do-it-yourself board basis options because one size doesn't fit all. In fact, with the thriving culinary scene in Tulum, most opt for a mixture of select meal service, do-it-yourself and dining out.

Getting around

Perfectly situated only 6km (4 miles) into the Sian Ka'an bio-sphere reserve. This private community is accessible via the arch at the top of Tulum's beach strip. The inland town of Tulum Pueblo itself is only a 20 minute drive from the villa. Cancun Airport is 100km away. Our Villa Manager/Concierge is on-hand to help you arrange your airport transfers, or we can direct you to transfer and car rental companies preferred by our guests.

Interaction with guest

Our Villa Manager/Concierge, Jorge, can assist you in coordinating transfers, meals (including your welcome meal), in-home massages, activities/excursions. He is your go-to for local information! He is based off-site but will usually greet you within 24 hours of check-in. He's available by email or cell phone (WhatsApp) before and during your stay. Our live-in staff, Filipe and Chari, are there to cater to your every need! If pre-arranged, they will await your arrival with a welcome meal. The villa owners are responsive to any questions you may have leading up to your trip!

How do damage deposits work?

If Jesse (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
